Hi guys. I know I did sign up full-time, but simply had to unplug from GPL for almost 2 months in the summer. Most leagues had a break, but for UKGPL. I'm racing again for a month or so. Sorry for the late explanation. Good luck tomorrow, especially Axel and Dean! Wink

GRATS Axel for championship win! Great form this year!
I had a nice race, like Assen very much. Shame that I didn't saw the starter and the checked flag!
First cost my race but was fine to finish again.
SRY Dave for get in touch and THX to Andreas for close fighting.
Fine that it's over now because a summer time season is not what I will take part again I think. There are much to much other things that I prefer at that time.
Never the less a big THX for organizing to all our admins who made this season possible.

No worries, it would not have affected my race.
However - from the replay, looks as though there was some good avoidance from Clive!  Has clearly been in close proximity to a number of collisions over the years Smiley

What caught me out was having a really good start. I don't know if the flagman was late waving for some participants, but I just about avoided apparent non-starter Clive & passed 4x Div1 drivers by the first time over the finish line!

I was therefore out of position & realistically not racing any of the surrounding cars, with Fran the only Div2 entrant.  However, would have been risky to have parked-up to let all past again.
I was relieved after the incident, which did not require my reset, despite a roll.

Tried to hang onto Clive for a while, to pull me away from Fran,   but he just left me behind.
In the meantime, I managed to find a hump after the 1st few corners during the tow, which I had not previously been aware of.

Was then lonely running until the end,  but was trying to drive relaxed / not crash.

Cheers all, but could have done with a few more non-pro drivers too Smiley

Dave.

Difficult track for me.During the race i have improved a little my lap time but again far from Dave C. and very very far from the best.
Not understandable for me how is possible to stay into the track doing 2,39.

Grats on championship, Axel.

Would have liked to have been there to at least challenge, tho unlikely I could have finished ahead of you.

I was too busy getting pointlessly driven across a good portion of southeastern Ontario (while suffering from the effects of a summertime cold) for no reasons other than wasting time, money, gasoline, and making me needlessly suffer both health-wise and financially by someone completely oblivious to other's concerns and with whom I am seriously considering severing relations at the conclusion of our present arrangement. "Friends" like him I do NOT need.

Thanks for the flowers  Grin

I had lots of luck at the start when Tris did not move after the flag, so I could make up a gap,
some mistakes and my tow brought him back to my tail and my slower cornering let him pass me at the end.

Shame, there is a fix for the starter from Ginetto for this track at SRMZ...

Yes I improved my driving, mostly due to switching from ~90° FOV to 59°  Wink

Grats to Axel for the Championship and to the podium guys for this final race. Great fun racing the 65's as always.

I don't think I have actually completed a race at Assen before  Huh, and I just did not know the circuit properly. In fact it was about half way through the race before I was confident about which corner was coming next and where I could carry more speed.
I was one of the cars that saw no start flag and I am not sure that I even saw the chequered flag at the end??!! Where was that flagman hiding??

The Honda was probably not the ideal car for this track and as the race developed and I began to learn the track, it was clear that my gear ratios were not correct and I was caught between gears at some corners. Once I had got my head around the track layout my times improved, but by then the leaders were way ahead and I had escaped from the attentions of Dave so it was quite a lonely race for the last 10 laps.

See you all next season I hope.
