Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 40s

Dan Minton does a standing start, making no attempt to return to correct position or even wait for the rest of the drivers to catch up. The rules clearly state start procedures and everyone is to read them before joining any SimRacing events. The huge advantage Dan Minton gains leaves me with no alternative but to disqualify him.

  • Dan Mintonpenalty — Incorrect start procedure and start position — excluded

Server replay time: 40s

djbully does a standing start, he realises his mistake and pulls over to retake his correct place on warm up lap. The rules clearly state start procedures and everyone is to read them before joining any SimRacing events. As Bully did stop and retake his correct place almost immediately, a 2 place penalty has been dropped to a warning.

  • Bullywarning — Incorrect start procedure.
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 50s

Complaints from several drivers that [GS]PRRibeiro was constantly using chat messages during race, generally "blue flag" messages to lapped drivers. I know that Ribeiro was involved in a very close fight with myself for 4th then 3rd place, however this does not mitigate the fact that in game chat during race is not permitted.

Server replay time: 72s

Edam Speed moves up 1 place during warm up lap, returns to correct position at 103s then retakes place again at 125s. There may have been some confusion caused by Dan Minton moving everyone down a place during warm up, however, drivers should be aware of their place on the grid at race start and not be swapping places during the warm up lap. If you're unsure, stay where you are and report incident to race moderator after race.

  • EdamSpeedpenalty — Incorrect start position, 1 place gained during warm up. — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 280s

MichaelB and Mad-RIP are racing down the S/F straight. Mad-RIP outbrakes Michael from quite a way back but does get inside Michael under control for the hairpin. As Michael turns in there is slight side contact. Both drivers continue racing without problems.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 341s

MichaelB and Mad-RIP are are driving down the S/F straight, Mad is setting up for a pass. As the enter the braking zone Mad pulls out to out brake Michael, goes a little to wide, locks up and goes straight through the hairpin.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1428s

Shark brakes slightly late and taps the rear of [GS]PRRibeiro going into the tight right before the S/F straight. Ribeiro continues without a problem, Shark spins out. As this resulted in an accident for the perpetrator not the victim, penalty dropped to 1 place lossed rather than the normal 2.

  • Simon Gymer (Shark)penalty — Late braking resulting in rear impact — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1532s

Ruskus is behind Don and looking to lap him, as they approach the left hander Don appears momentarily to be leaving the door open for Ruskus to get by but is only setting himself up for the corner, Ruskus locks up under braking and hits Dons rear sending him off. Drivers are reminded that it is the lapping drivers responsibilty to pass slower drivers safely and not try to force a way past or be overly aggressive where there isn't a passing opportunity.

  • Jeffrey (Ruskus)penalty — Rear impact resulting in victim spinning off — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 2271s

Madd-RIP has spun off from 15th place, he rejoins by driving straight back across the racing line leaving Shark in 6th place with nowhere to go, there is a considerable side impact and Shark is lucky to lose no more than a few seconds to the car ahead. Madd-RIP had a clear line of sight down the track and should have rejoined only when safe to do so.

  • Madd-RIPpenalty — Poor rejoin resulting in collision. — 2 places lost

Yep, lots of freezes....

Other than that it was superb fun.  Qualified towards the back, but was putting in some solid laps.  Had a good bit of track to myself before we had a 4-car train for a while, and then after a mistake by me (and probably really peeing off the leaders) I had to catch up again.  Ended up having a cracking battle with Don, but I just could not get past him!  With the top 6-7 drivers coming round behind us and past us, it was a close run thing with Don running out the winner between the two of us.  We might have traded paint, but nothing serious.

Probably the most fun I've had with you guys so thanks again.

Just got back from work, turned the PC on and joined, with just 10 minutes to go and no practice. Got 2nd, was happy with that.

Race all went well, Peter was faster, so i settled with 2nd. Oh no, not second, because Minton had a super start Undecided. I think he forgot about the rolling start, and had in-car chat off, because he didn't reply. I think he was gutted to see us overtake him eventually after having a huge lead Cheesy.

Then the inevitable came....backmarkers. After a mistake from Peter, I was in 1st, trying to keep there. But then again, a backmarker spun infront of me. Don't care who, why or when, it just happened again. This time it cost me the lead, which was a pain (cost me the won-all-TC65-races straight Wink). Not gonna report, not gonna bother, just a shame really.
Finished 2nd which is good for the championship.
Lot's of freezes, huge pings (4000). Very weird.

Edit: Lol, just saw your post Adam. Do I look so scary in-car Cheesy. Next time I see you, I'm gonna take a huge bow around you Wink.

Haha, what went on in your head Minton...lol. Whoohoo, super start Grin

But what wis all the chatting. I think it were the new Ghostspeed guys mostly. But just to make it clear: no chatting during qually or race please.

There were some freezes, pings were very good. Just shows up some problems with the online code and internet, not much you can do about it.

ALL SimRacing league championship events are rolling starts!  hammer

NO CHAT is allowed during the race! If you are having problems getting passed a back marker flash your lights, DO NOT send a CHAT out, it is VERY distracting to the other drivers.  hammer

Oh dear. That was going well for me, then all fell to pieces.

Firstly, let me apologise to Tyf for the start! I thought I was in 6th, so when I was behind you in 7th on the rolling start lap, I thought "Zat cheeky penguin's got in front of me!" And I tried to get past.. What I should have realised was that Dan Minton jumped the start and was counted as being in the lead, so 7th was correct at that point.. Sorry! : Cheesy

After that I was in 5th,6th,7th places, and it was going well. Unfortunately I got distracted and went off at the high-speed right-hander, and dropped down a few, and then a few laps later, Jamera lagged in front of me, and his corpse left me nowhere to go but right into him. It shot me into an escape road, and rather than do the sensible thing and rejoin where I left, I carried on up the escape road - big mistake, as it got me a stop/go Sad Dropped me back to 18th or so..

Oh, and also sorry to Locutos for the touch on the first corner - I was chasing penguins Smiley

LOL, must be - it happened in the NGT the other night ........ they say the third time is a charm. Undecided  Maybe you could paint a bullseye on the front of you car?

Hopefully it won't happen again ... I hate causing other drivers problems through my screw ups.  How no-one else clipped me is beyond me.

Just looking at my replay, can't even see your can to see exactly what happened, I think there was contact?

Replay and provisional results are up Smiley

Interesting errors in the race data, were Greg130 and Paul W the main culprits for lagginess? Greg beat my GTR record of 3 race slots in the export! I've been flying online tonight and it was all messed up, voice comms was breaking up, got disconnected on several occasions. I wonder if the internet was simply having a bad hair day Wink

NGT and last GTL race at nurb. So third time lucky indeed, this time it was a hit. Smiley
I know it wasn't intentional, so that's why I won't report. Itc an happen. Just a shame it's me every time  Wink
I saw you spin, so I had to brake hard to go passed, locking up. I think when I was aside you, your car, that was still going round, clipped me slightly, causing me to do a 180.

That was a great race, guys, thanks!  Mondello is SUCH a hard track, wow.  I was really impressed there were so few incidents (really none that I saw!).  As usual I got fatigued past halfway and started making errors, but nothing really major.  Spun off in front of someone passing me (Paul, was it??) when I got off line into the klag, but everwhere else it was really clean, fine racing.

No lag or frozen cars on my end, all worked very well.  Sorry for the chat msgs, but I doofed in front of someone who tapped me (just a transfer of momentum) and wanted him to know it was my fault.  PRibeiro just likes to be polite, hehe.

Grats to Pero, Ruskus, & PR -- what a nifty and well-deserving podium!
