Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Grenzlandring '52 (without Chicanes) Download thisCars allowed: Aston Martin DBR2 (includes GTC-65 class fix) Download this Ferrari 375+ Download this Maserati 450S (4.5 only) Download this Mercedes 300SLR Download thisPractice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (22 laps) Time of Day Setting: 18:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: x2 Fuel consumption: x2 Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: You might want this https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=15184.msg277055#msg277055

I honestly think that not many people will finish this, those chicanes are killers if you get them just slightly wrong. Horrible track!

I can change the track to the non-chicane format if that is the consensus.

I would be pleased - I remember that we did races at the non-chicane version some time ago.

I'm for the change also. Did a few laps yesterday with the AI and if the chicanes didnt take you out the crazy AI did. They can run much faster than I can and rear end you every time, not nice drivers at all

I have an non-chicane related question. The Aston Martin DBR 2 Installer asks me a question during install: Select components to install: Use original car classes (or not I presume). What's the correct answer to that in SROUK context? Thanks in advance.

The installer says this "Note that by default, the installer will replace the mod's official .CAR files with ones that include GTC-65 in the car classes. During installation you can opt to use the original files instead; you cannot have both installed simultaneously." So best you DO NOT use the original car classes.

Chicane version now replaced with NON-Chicane version, e.g 1952 layout.

Got track downloaded this time, but all the cars are new to me, not to mention the extra time I need learning RWD machinery, so I will skip this one. However there's hope that I will show up on some Wednesday. Have a good one guys.

Lost concentration whilst thinking about why Geoffers had a DQ and crashed, ripping off a wheel.
