Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 266s

No 25 makes a move down the inside into T4 and as Greg runs slightly wide they go through the corner level. There is some slight contact on the exit, which affects Greg a bit more. On the short run to T5 No 25 gets a better run and gets to the apex first. Greg turns in to hit the apex but hits no 25 who is in the way. Greg should have left room on the inside with a car alongside with significant overlap.

  • greg130 (Greg130)penalty — Side by side contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1473s

No25 attempts to drive around the outside of Greg130, cuts into the apex sharply and makes contact. As a result No25's car flips over.

  • Paul Cowan (No25)penalty — Overambitious overtake and side by side contact — 2 places lost

Think I've worked out why so many of you support Grimsby, is it because they named their ground after a famous racing car driver  Tongue

No no, it's "Blundell Park", not "Brundle Park". Wink Wink Wink

In fact I've just been Googling around and cannot find a reference to explain how Blundell Park actually got it's named, on or before 1899.

Absolutely cracking race.

Tough qually, got a new PB and was lying 9th behind some very fast buggers, then Flybri nicked the place off me on the dying laps....just as i was watching Truetoms times to see if he would do the same ! Roll Eyes

race was excellent, had a superb close quarters battle with Flybri for lap after lap never more than 0.8 secs behind him, while he in turn stayed glued to the aagram and SBG battle about another half second ahead...frantic stuff. I was putting all sorts of pressure on Fly, getting side by side with him on more than a few occasions, but his Fezza was just that bit better on the brakes than my trusty Saleen, though round the back of the track i was all over him like a cheap suit Grin
I eventually made a move stick and was able to get past and felt jubilant ! angel
Then proceeded to close down Aagram and SBG after a few laps and just as i was gaining onto his bumper with only 10 minutes to go and what looked like it was going to be a classic 3 way battle, i double dropped a buggering gear at the final turn at the top of the hill Embarrassed....was totally gutted, lost about 4 places down to 11th/12th. :'(
really felt robbed of a perfect race.
Got back past Dan M, but with the dying minutes looming and fairly ragged tyres i just had no more momentum or time to catch back up with the front pack and brought it home 10th.

Superb racing up front, i couldnt believe the pace and complete lack of errors or spinners for the whole race, congrats to JonM on a race well won.  Cool
Great fun...shame about that bloody gear change Kiss

Good race, qualified first of the Lambo's but it was very close. Kept TT Behind me for about 10 laps until my rear tyres went of and there was no way of fending him off.   Then Jonzo went off think his tyres had gone aswell , anyway i got passed him as he went off then i  braked too late into one of the corners and he got back passed . Had a chance to get back passed him but he made a good block.
Had to drive really defensive on the last lap as i was under major pressure from someone in a Ferrari, just managed to fend him off and finish 12. Smiley

Grats to Jon on the win.

Well what a tough race that was up the front, should be an interesting replay.
Bad luck to number 25, you certainly came off worse there mate, was pretty amazing to watch in the mirror.

Amazing pace again by Jon, grats on the win mate.

One of the most enjoyable races I've had. Superb pace up front again, don't know how you lot manage 1:54 laps around there. Equalled my PB to qualify 8th, was on to break into the 1:55s in the 1st sector, but it was my 3rd flying lap and the front tyres were melting. Hung in SBG's mirror like a furry dice from the start until the last couple minutes, was rarely more than 3/4 of a second behind. Was losing a little time behind him, which was backing me into the FlyBri & Mark scrap. Couldn't quite get close enough to make a move stick until the penultimate lap. SBG had a bit of a wobble and caught it, but I was able to get alongside and take the racing line into the next corner. On the last lap I came across a Saleen in the gravel, giving me 5th. Very pleased, didn't put a wheel wrong which was a pleasent change from my recent NGT & GTL races.

Great battle SBG, see you at the next one.  Smiley Congratulations to Jon for the win.

Replay is available. Tech Support summonsed for result import so please be patient with that one.

Boy those GT are hard work. I remember now why I stick to nGT Wink Got a PB in qualifying, so that's good. But drifted off on the warm up lap. Corners come much faster and I was messing around with the keyboard  Embarrassed Race was ok but my pace just got slower and slower, more and more understeer. It's not that bad with the smaller class. Still only 1 off in the race, and that not my fault but an unfortunate by product of 1 fps problems.

Need a lie down now  Grin

The race went just as planned. Got to fifth with about 10 minutes to go. Kept a steady pace and took it really easy in the last 5 minutes. Had about 9 seconds on the 6th place driver.

But then it went wrong and spun out in the last lap  Sad Some disturbance broke my rythm so I shifted from 4th to 1st instead of 5th to 2nd. Spun out and ended up 7th. Not a bad result for me either, but still a big disappointment Sad

Enjoyed that, pretty good turnout  thumbup1

Very fast times up front, Congrats to John M. Had a great 4 way battle for most of race with Mark J (all over me rear bumper) , Aagramn & SBG (in front). Mark was probably just closer to me than i was to Aagramn. Had a great battle for a good number of laps before he got the run on me down straight and made a good clean pass  thumbup1

Lost a bit of momentum for a few laps after that and never really got within 3 secs of SGB. Mclaessen had a couple of mistakes last lap and nearly got past but...

Pleased i didnt make any mistakes to speak of, good race all  I Am Not Worthy
