World Champ tracks I know of for AC (legality is up to you guys).

Kyalami 67 - Mod
Monaco 66 - Mod
Mosport - Mod (any version available, the layout hasn't changed)
Watkins Glen - Mod (Classic short (No chicanes) is closest I know of to the original layout)
Monza road '66 - AC Stock
Silverstone '66 - AC Stock
Nurburgring - AC stock if we run Nordschliefe, Mod; if the classic Nurburgring I've seen about is any good/legal
Rouen - Mod (longest Layout) - (Should be Le Mans Bugatti, But A. I don't think the tracks been made in AC. and B. It's rubbish, even the drivers said so at the time.)
Zandvort - (mod for historic layout, but this is very good)
Spa '66 - Mod. modern would work but isn't 'right' in GPL terms as most of us are likely to finish the race.
Mexico City - Mod (but graphically it's rubbish, and the '88 layout)

Non Championship include Brands, and Oulton from stuff we know is good - and Jarama which I think I've seen knocking about.
Based on all the UKGPL races over the years they can be raced anywhere and still guarantee a big grin, any historic/classic track would be awesome Grin

Exactly!

Watkins Glen is really bad in graphics (specially colours), the layout is fine and fun.
Mexico is also bad in graphics.

If advertised a bit this championship can have excellent numbers of participants. Old school is not dead.  Cool

wow, no answers since i asked back in April !  Huh Cry just brimming with enthusiasm here.

what direction are we taking for future events? Not sure we want to hang up our historics gloves yet awhile so expect its best to alternate moderns using ACC perhaps, with various historic rounds  Undecided
I'm not about next week anyway, but thinking further ahead.

Reading the thread there appears to be interest in the GPL mod, I remember there is also interest in the DTM stuff from the test races we ran.

Both of those would need more than a week to actually drum up some interest so you could run a fun race with the 250F or a Moby Dick or just about anything while what ever advertising gets run for a month or so ready for the new series.

A friend of mine finally bought a steering wheel. He also wants to join historical events or championships.

For a future series, I believe that the GPL mod can also attract pilots from SRO (atm this server does a break from classic things on AC). So the number of participants could be interesting.

About a event race, no idea. Maserati 250 can be good.

All advertised considerably.

I'll skip the Monza one if it's CanAm - I prefer a teeny bit of authenticity Tongue

You missed the GTO season sadly, think you would have enjoyed that

i have wanted to use the Moby Dick somewhere for a while, but it'll need a track to stretch its legs on...Le Mans, Spa, Road America, Mosport?
I watched a 936 doing laps of Laguna Seca the other day and that was pretty mesmerising.

Maser 250 is a fun car to chuck around. I tested it at Doni 38 which was good, but would also work well at Rouen

Also got the ace Lola mod for somewhere like Riverside or Bridgehampton

Lola T70 or 917/30 on some US track please. Wink

I still do think the Porsche 718 RS 60 Spyder is a great car for close racing too.
Or waddabout the Porsche GT1?

heh, I'm not so bothered about that as long as its fun, but the combo was mentioned in the past so figured I'd throw it in there

Yeh shame,  I looked at previous seasons results and saw a few I would have enjoyed...

917/30 just because its a beast, american track is good if it draws a grid Smiley

The new Mosport is certainly interesting in the 935.
Makes you appreciate how they had to drive the buggers!
