https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/mosport-ctmp-0-8.24486/
The other older versions are frankly rubbish compared to this.
935 needs stiffer springs to start to handle, I've knocked a lot of time off the standard setup. Certain there's more to come if I really tried.
You should be able to run a 1:18xx on full boost and lowish fuel.
For added interest it only has enough fuel for 35 mins at full boost, so if we ran a 40 min race it might add the choice between a low boost no-stopper or a flat out charge with pitstop....
I haven't properly done the math to see how close that gets yet.

I found some extra TV cameras for it too:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/tv-cameras-for-mosport.24713/

Just did some laps in the standard (Chevy powered) Lola, It's a blast - if somewhat deadly in the hairpin Grin

I didn't really think the Moby went well with Mosport  Undecided you cant really get the power down anywhere with so many swoops and turns.

But try it at Riverside (Long)....oh my goodness  drool  it feels savagely cool through sector 1, bit clumsy in sector 2 then 190+ down the backstraight followed by some 4-wheel drifts through the banking section  Shocked punk  it really suits this track.

I also tried the Lola Mk2 mod around Mosport and that felt (and sounded!) great too. Love this car mod, very high quality Smiley

Think both those combos would make great races.

if so, that's another car I need to crash then  Grin

That’s the one I think. It’s great fun to drive, I actually think it would make a good can-am style series with the right US tracks  Smiley

Kind of the point though, it raced more on tracks like Mosport than ones like Riverside.
With setup work it's good fun, but a massive challenge to drive fast.

Some laptimes for you - I'm interested how close the 2 variants of the Lola are, although to be far I gave the Ford powered car slightly more setup time.

917/20 = 1:13.6
935        = 1:18.8
Lola chevy = 1:23.3
Lola Ford.  = 1.23.4

I'll need to play with the chevy more, but it might be possible to use both cars in the same series.

The really amazing part is when you consider that the 917 and Lola times are seperated by only 5 years of development  Shocked

so i was thinking of running a short Can-Am series (5 or 6 rounds) using the Lolas as they proved popular and are good fun for racing.  Smiley

Tracks so far:-

Mont Tremblant (have we got a good AC version of this track?)
Bridgehampton
Laguna Seca
Riverside
Mosport
Road Atlanta

Based on the real 70's series:

1   Labatt's Blue Trophy   Mosport Park
2   Mont-Tremblant 50   Circuit Mont-Tremblant
3   Watkins Glen Can-Am   Watkins Glen International
4   Klondike Trail 200   Edmonton Speedway Park
5   Buckeye Can-Am   Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
6   Road America Can-Am   Road America
7   Road Atlanta Can-Am   Road Atlanta
8   Minneapolis Tribune Grand Prix   Donnybrooke International Raceway
9   Monterey Castrol Grand Prix   Laguna Seca Raceway
10   Los Angeles Times Grand Prix   Riverside International Raceway

T70 Mk2's didn't race beyond the '67 series though  Tongue

There is a Mont Tremblant, but it was a very early Beta and hasn't been updated in years as I remember. A pity as CanAm is great fun there based on GPL.

We do have a good Watkins with enough layouts to use the right one - or at least one that's close enough to be almost right.
And there is also a nice enough looking Mid Ohio on Race department - although i remember it being framerate heavy, don't know if that's been fixed.

i meant for the Can-Am tracks, not the car  Wink

Happy to run Watkins or Mid-Ohio if there isnt a good Mont Tremblant.

Just for the picky amongst us:

66 Season tracks:-

1   Player's 200   Circuit Mont-Tremblant
2   Bridgehampton Grand Prix   Bridgehampton Race Circuit
3   Canadian Grand Prix for the Pepsi-Cola Trophy   Mosport Park
4   Monterey Grand Prix   Laguna Seca Raceway
5   Los Angeles Times Grand Prix   Riverside International Raceway
6   Stardust Grand Prix   Stardust Raceway

There are other cars comparable to the Lola to use in this championship? I can test something.

I'm all ears  Smiley but it has to be fairly comparable to avoid bickering over car advantages  Wink to be fair, the group of racers that we have for historic racing are more about the racing and car enjoyment than win at all costs.  I just enjoy seeing, hearing and driving these exotic beasts.  Cool
