thanks Pete, practise server is proving popular for these again  Smiley

I set the race to only 30minutes as everyones a bit busy this time of year but we could try 2x20 or a 40min race. How did 40mins feel last time? too long/bit boring/just right?

just right  Smiley
IMHO this cars is not for reverse grids because a hard to drive and ppl not have appropriate practice on most.
PS. But . May be reverse for top3 will be good here.

This is 60's F1 - 40 minutes is already way too short Tongue

They were never intended for sprint races - at GPL we've tried all manner of race lengths but always end up back at 40-50 mins.
Half the skill is in finishing, surviving for 20 minutes is easy compared to 40 odd mins Smiley

Also this time I perfectly agree with FMG.

About damange, Mark, if people want 70%, give them the 70%.  Grin

That'll be Pete doing a typo, just cant get the staff these days  Grin

Anyone found any setups for these cars online? I cant find much about this mod at all, other than youtube links. I thought there would be an official page for a work of art like this and don't think its even on RD  Huh

And yes, let us know your favoured car so hopefully we can ensure there are enough of a certain car, though I don't really want more than say 3 of each car to give it a bit more flavour.

can someone try the Brabham, I get a checksum error if I try and join with that. Not sure if its a file error with my install or the servers. I just over-wrote the old mod with the latest. No problem with the other cars i've tried so far.

Same here.  I deleted the old versions and replaced with 2.15 and did the import files for 49 and 312 again but getting checksum on the Brabham.  Maybe this has the old data.acd in the server.

Well, the Lotus was a live-wire at Kyalami - It's even worse here Grin
The power band is so narrow that setting the gears up is a job in itself (I'm still not happy, I expect/hope to go faster with the set I've just made but have to go out now before I can try it).
The result is that I'm having to properly dance on the throttle while trying to adjust to the on/off cam mid-corner, and then having to change gears in places I'd rather not.
I'll have a go in the Eagle either later tonight or maybe tomorrow, I'm expecting that to be slower but much much easier to drive. Going fast in the Lotus is just like trying to go fast in a Matra - only with an extra 100odd BHP (try the Matra, going fast in it is addictive here it's so hard Cool )

Anyway, the real reason for this post is that before going onto the server I did a back-to-back comparison between the Kunos and GPL Lotus 49's - The Kuno's car is slightly slower, but it actually much easier to drive on the limit (I didn't expect that!). Both cars can likely improve, but I would expect the gap to stay fairly similar to what you see below.
For reference I run my practice sessions colder than the server is normally set - Hence the fact I've knocked another 1/2 second off online.

Kunos L49  = 1:25.702
GPL'67 L49 = 1:24.406

I'll have to pick another track to do the Ferrari properly as I've already taken that out on the server.
