Well, the Lotus was a live-wire at Kyalami - It's even worse here
The power band is so narrow that setting the gears up is a job in itself (I'm still not happy, I expect/hope to go faster with the set I've just made but have to go out now before I can try it).
The result is that I'm having to properly dance on the throttle while trying to adjust to the on/off cam mid-corner, and then having to change gears in places I'd rather not.
I'll have a go in the Eagle either later tonight or maybe tomorrow, I'm expecting that to be slower but much much easier to drive. Going fast in the Lotus is just like trying to go fast in a Matra - only with an extra 100odd BHP (try the Matra, going fast in it is addictive here it's so hard
)
Anyway, the real reason for this post is that before going onto the server I did a back-to-back comparison between the Kunos and GPL Lotus 49's - The Kuno's car is slightly slower, but it actually much easier to drive on the limit (I didn't expect that!). Both cars can likely improve, but I would expect the gap to stay fairly similar to what you see below.
For reference I run my practice sessions colder than the server is normally set - Hence the fact I've knocked another 1/2 second off online.
Kunos L49 = 1:25.702
GPL'67 L49 = 1:24.406
I'll have to pick another track to do the Ferrari properly as I've already taken that out on the server.
