Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Quite enjoyed these races. Tried Geoffers setup, and it was much more drivable than my attempt
so apart from understeering off occasionally, I could get round fairly well. Still find these cars
a tough drive, but better than they were for me.

Like stated last year, I quite like the track, but while the KAD was better than the horrible Simca, I still had a hard time getting a sense of flow with it here.

Race 1:
Here's another car I have big trouble getting off the line, and sure enough made a dreadful start, losing 3 places.  Got two of them back, when Matt & Dan respectively went off or wide.  Spent the rest of the race in 3rd, chasing Patrick. Couldn't catch him, but wasn't actually keen on swapping place with him anyway, as that would mean joining Geoffers at the back of race 2.  While he will just slice through the field like a hot knife through butter, it's not something I can do, so the qual-ban on 2nd pos really hurts and is something to avoid.  Grats to Geoffers on the win and Patrick for a well deserved 2nd.

Race 2:
With Geoffers locked out of qual, I landed pole with a new pb.  Better start this time, retaining my borrowed lead.  A mere 5 laps was all it took before Geoffers filled my mirrors. Keeping him in them for another 9 laps was never going to happen, so I basically drove my car as if he wasn't there, figuring he would get past soon enough.  So he did after a couple of laps, grabbing yet another win.  Grats for that and to Patrick again for another convincing drive and finish.

A very pleasant evening for me, and for several reasons:
1. the end results: making it twice to the podium is not one of my habits (to say the least)
2. race 2 unwinding

Race 1: Good start from P5, being able to follow the Geoffers+MattR7 train. Big help from Erling who did not start too well, so I was an easy 3rd in the first few corners. Then at the end of the straight MattR7 decided there was no reason to turn left and gave me his 2nd position.  Grin
It took Erling some time to recover from his start and that allowed me a 2 seconds cushion that I managed (hardly) to maintain for about 10 laps. Only now do I understand that Erling was not trying too hard... I must say that I completely forgot about the race 2 start order (as could be seen when I qualified for race 2 Embarrassed ) so I was happy with my 2nd position. clown
Race 2: One qualification lap and I was surprised to get P2... I did not look at the chat window until just before the start. So I realized very late that I goofed. oops
Managed a decent start so that I could park on the side and not hinder anybody start.
Then it has been a very tough race for me! Geoffers can go up the ranks as if he was alone on the track, not such a thing for me. Every overtake is difficult, so I ended up tired and sweaty. sweatdrop
The with MattR7 & Tony have been tough, specially with Tony as we swapped positions several times, and some paint as well. Wink
I am not good at following closely and overtaking, but this race did teach me quite a bit about this, and was quite rewarding as well. thumbup2

Thanks all for a good racing evening. punk

No reason to detract anything from your 2nd place - I wasn't holding back and couldn't catch you..  Smiley  (But as mentioned, I wasn't too concerned over it, given the qual issue)

Glad my setup helped Matt, setups are not always suitable for the way people drive.

Both races went well. First race not much to report really after holding off Matt into T1, excellent drive though from Patrick for 2nd place. Second race, like Zandvoort I got a bit lucky coming from the back as nearly everyone I caught made a mistake that let me get past, even Erling made a rare mistake & ran onto the grass coming out of the chicane allowing me to nip by into the following hairpin.

Congrats to Patrick & Erling on their double podiums.  clap clap
