Loosing my love for GTL too - two S&G's when leaving the pits (first one in slow motion, second one with activated limiter) Before it was fun and demanding as long as it lasted. Next Monday next try on this track. CU

Loosing my love for GTL too - two S&G's when leaving the pits (first one in slow motion, second one with activated limiter) Before it was fun and demanding as long as it lasted. Next Monday next try on this track. CU Apologies to Kurt for my screw up in pits. I had not realised that I still had "auto pitstop" active, until my car tried to drive through Kurt's car to get to my pit box. I quit the race a few laps later as I felt that I had forced Kurt into leaving the pits? possibly quicker than he intended. So, Tony can you switch myself and Kurt around so that he finished ahead of me. Also I had a return of the DD ( double downshift) problem on my shifter. This particular bug had vanished for a few months and I did a 50 minute GPL race last night without any problems. But dropping 2 gears whilst braking for Tarzan does nothing to improve your chances of getting around the corner cleanly!!! Apologies to Erling and Matt who witnessed the aftermath and frantic attempts to control my car.

@ Clive: thank you, but it was absolutely not your fault. Sorry for unintentionally ruining your race . Really not necessary to switch you behind me. @ Tony: I assume I was too fast twice when entering the pits before "auto pitstop" stepped on as I still had my limiter turned on when I left pits after the 2nd stop&go.

Wonderful race with Fulvio, well driven. We never had any wheel to wheel dicing but we were never more than around 3s apart the whole race. Fulvio took the lead at the start & quickly opened up a 2s lead as I was a bit tentative on the first 2 laps braking way too early for Tarzan. Up until the pitstop the gap hovered between 2-3s neither of us capable of going much faster. We both pitted at the end of lap 17 & I was surprised to get out ahead as my approach to my pitbox was rubbish, slowed down much too early & coasted the last 20m or so. Turned out Fulvio made a bit of a mess of selecting his fuel load & I inherited a 3s lead. Second half of the race was a mirror image of the first half with me holding a 2-3s lead, in fact for several laps every time I glanced at XD I seemed to be 2.9s ahead, we were that even on lap time. Was quite relieved when the chequer came out. Congrats on a fine drive Fulvio & also congrats to Matt in 3rd.

Zandvoort normally not one of my favorites, but really like this version. Never tried the Merc and among the other 3, the Healey was the fastest and by far most enjoyable for me. Had lulled myself into thinking I had a decent speed offline, so quite an eye opener to come online and be reminded once more how far off the pace I am in these cars New pb in qual, but not good for more than 5th on grid. Kept station with Matt over the first laps, but then loose-cannon-Clive showed up in a wayward Ferrari. While he explored the track borders, Matt slipped past. Regrettably I wasn't able to copy his move, so next tried to dodge Clive's further exploits. Failed after a couple of laps, when he got squirrelly entering the straight. I aimed for a gap on the inside which disappeared when Clive - perhaps inadvertently - shut the door with a sideways car. Couldn't avoid hitting him, which sent his car into a roll. Not sure who's blame it was, so waited (and waited and waited and waited...) for his car to stop sliding on the roof and get righted. Costly, as it dropped me 3 further places, to dead last, when Tony, Bob & Kurt all roared past. Took time and effort to get past them again, at which point Clive was gone. Caught and passed him mid-race, when he spun at T1. Pit next, and after a few more laps, I was 5 secs behind Matt. Chased him as hard as I could for the remainder of the race. Reduced the gap to some 3 secs at one point, but whenever I reduced it, he pulled a rabbit or two up his hat and stretched it again. Thus had to settle for 4th. Grats to the podium.

It was an intense and very nice race, only I have lost too much time selecting fuel in setup screen and I also had a very slow approach to pit cause I wasn't sure where began the speed limit. 8 seconds more in pit that you, that's it. I like old Zandvoort since GPL, very demanding in concentration, every little error in one lap build up time for the rest of the lap, but I like the flew of the track in DB4. Towards the end I pushed more to caught you but couldn't reduce the gap less than 1.6 sec. I was also tempted to not change tires, but at pitstop I was already at 30 with RL tire Ciao
