Fuel consumption: 2x
Pit stops required: Yes

Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Cuts will be turned off for this race.

Tony, in earlier events here we've had the cut warnings turned off, as they seem very aggressive.  Just been reminded how frustrating it is during my practice; you pretty much get a warning whenever you step outside the track, even though you're clearly losing time.  With such long laps, it's annoying to say the least, so maybe an idea to turn them off again ?

Sorry Matt - left the track, spinning and flying high in the sky.
Came back on track without any orientation and got exactly in your way when trying to continue  Huh
Glad to watch you could repair the car.  Cool Great effort to reach the pit in that wrecked car  thumbup2

Wondering if I ever finished a race here ...

Got on the server early, being away I had no practice, so needed to brush up on circuit knowledge. Just about got it sorted by qually time, but after the server hiccup I crashed on my one qually lap so had to start near the back.

Got up to 5th at the start & caught & passed Dan & Rog on the first lap but thereafter could not make any impression on the gap to Clive & Erling. Inherited 2nd when Clive spun at the top end of the track only to lose it & 3rd place by completely messing up the ess bend after the S/F on the next lap & rolling the car. Just about caught back up to Rog by pitstop time at the end of lap 5 but lost a lot of time in the pits & was 18s behind Rog after. Eventually caught Rog on the last lap only to run off track about 4 corners from the finish & so had to settle for 4th.  Roll Eyes

Congrats to Erling, Clive & Rog.  clap clap clap

Hope to see you all on Monday for the start of the French F3 series.  thumbup1

Had a good run up to the race - knocked a sec off my pb in offline praccy, doing a 6:03.0, and mighty chuffed when I shaved another sec off in qual, with a new pb of 6:02.0, and then the *beep* server decides to barf and eradicates it. Peculiarly I got a hotlap replay of it, despite the server crash.  Not able to repeat it in the one hotlap substitute qual, so fortunate to land pole.

Clive got ahead in the dragrace to the first S-bends, and once more Dan's starts leaves me slackjawed. Can't concieve of a way to make the car jump off the line like that  Shocked

Highlights of the race were the first 2-3 laps, dicing with Clive.  Got ahead and made it stick in my 2nd attempt on L3, but when we got to the central cobblestone section, he suddenly vanished, so assumed he spun.  Had a 5-sec gap to Geoffers, but next lap it jumped to 19 secs, so obviously he had met with trouble.  Remainder of the race was lonely and unremarkable. Pit at the end of L5, for fuel only. Tyres badly worn at the end, but changing them would have taken more time than I lost, so no point in doing that.

Grats to Clive & Roger for completing the podium.
