Clive, as far as I can tell, the G25 H-Shifter has a sequential mode (something supposedly omitted on the G27).  If you do have a G25, then maybe you can use the shifter that way, making it a little easier than the H-pattern.

Peter Greendike.
Apologies to Tony and the others for not introducing him and asking for permission to join us.
Peter is a friend of mine who occassionaly drops in on a racing night and then likes to join us. Normally I ask if anyone minds if he does but I thought everyone knew who he was by now. He isn't around very often so  I wonder if registering is any use but of course that isn't for me to decide. Pete isn't exactly an alien and his skills are mainly limited to saloons and modest GTs (the big Americans were a bit too much for him last night)but he really enjoys the odd visit to UKGTL.

Sorry for the omission Tony
I thought the name was familiar. Sorry, but in future you need to get him registered with this site. Not such a problem for the No-Grip events as they currently do not use our scoring system. But for any future UKGTL races he will need to be registered in advance or he will be booted.

I probably did not make it clear, but I have been using the G25 sequential option for a couple of years, ever since one of the paddle shift levers ceased to function.
So basically, I think I have just worn out all of the components of the G25 except for the "H" pattern option. Even the wheel itself has a distinctly "worn" feel with a large slack spot in the straight ahead position. Only the pedals currently seem OK, but I have already swopped the pots around to use the clutch pedal on the accelerator pedal, so their future might not be that extensive.

Upon reflection it feels like I have squeezed out most of the life expectancy of Logitechs components, so a wholesale replacement seems inevitable.

Always enjoy these, lots of power & very controllable oversteer.

First race went well after overhauling fast starting Clive. Thought he was going to keep up, shame he had shifter problems, not much else to report after that.

Race 2 looked like a repeat of the first until I lost the rear going into the chicane & then made a mess of rejoining letting Erling into the lead. Spent the next 3-4 laps looking for a way past then unfortunately gave him a bump at the final turn, slowed to let him get sorted only to see Matt charge past both of us. Got ahead of Erling a couple of corners later & chased after Matt only for him to peel off into the pits at the end of the lap. Finally inexplicably drifted off track exiting the chicane letting Erling back through & Bob too. So finished 3rd. Sorry if I was a bit too aggressive trying to regain the lead Erling, will try to be a bit calmer in future.

Congrats to Erling for win & podium & to Rog & Bob on their podiums.  clap clap clap

After having destroyed two of the G25 shifters  Roll Eyes I switched to a Thrustmaster TH8A Add-On Shifter in combination with my good old G25 which is a bit tricky due to the 7-gears "H" pattern (now I'm a bit more comfortable with it with only a few misconnections left) but much more robust.

Result_Race 1

 Cool

From lap 2 to the finish a very lonely race right in the middle of nowhere, but at least a finish again  Roll Eyes

No worries Geoffers - I was driving over my abilities and should just have let you past sooner.
