It's donation time again folk's and due to some admin difficulties, we need to make up a bigger shortfall than usual as we accidentally let one quarter slip.

Race 1 I was very rusty not having raced for months, a few slight mistakes and rather slow but felt I was getting the hang of things again. I was being pressed by Senior Dan I think and defended into a corner when I saw the Blue flag light. He had been passed by the leader. The second I looked to let him pass I got shunted and ended with suspension damage, my fault, I didn’t realise Dan had let him though and wasn’t anticipating being lapped so soon. Race 2 Just prior to race two my chair partially fell apart. Not a good start. I fixed up a substitute chair and joined a bit late. It was a swivel chair (need I say more). I realised I input more pressure into the peddles that I thought. A few half spins but I did finish the race allbeit a distance last. Grats to winners and podiums.

Nice to have you with us Mike. I too am slow in these beast's but I was able to frighten Bob a couple of times in the first race. In the second race I was soon on my own and unable to challenge Bob as he pulled away from me.

Couple of good races chasing the new V8 king Franky, but both had rather unsatisfactory endings. First race, was gaining on Franky near the end when he & Misnoimis had a slight coming together & Misnoimis came across the track in front of me & I couldn't avoid him. Carried on but the car was not right & after skating off at the Corkscrew I gave it best. Second race, chased Franky all race until on the final lap exiting the penultimate turn I suddenly hit something invisible which spun the car around losing the bonnet. Luckily just got going before Erling came along, so held on to 2nd place. Congrats to Franky on two wins & to Erling & Dom on the podiums. Just one thing on the championship, Erling & I tied for 1st in the 70s cars. Congrats to Erling & Matt on their championship podiums.

First off congrats to the series Champ and to the podium at Laguna. R1 was a good race for me and for most of the race I had Tony in my mirror. Big sorry to Matt or misnoimis who I punted in the rear in R1, don't remember who but was one of the Falcons. We both recovered OK but still my fault. Good fun in R1. As good as R1 was, R2 was just the opposite. During the car change between the races I kept disco-ing. I never got a message on the site, but my modem lights didn't show as usual so it must have been with my provider. Most of the time I lasted in R2 I was getting screen flickers. Had a phobia about discoing and kept glancing at the modem to check it's health and not focusing on the track and hit a very solid hay bale and killed my car. Really enjoyed the series and of course the cars are my favorites, Gee I wonder why???

Normally not crazy about Laguna Seca, but this version is different - it's an absolute favorite; love those fast curves!
Race 1: For a change I didn't lose positions at the start, holding on to my 3rd place. Kept resonably pace with Geoffers early on, to my surprise, but eventually he'd had enough mucking about and started to pull away. Was slipping away from Dom behind me at the same time. Then late in the race, I happened upon an upside down Geoffers at T1, spinning on his roof. Tiptoed past to inherit 2nd place. With a few laps to go, I was getting closer to a car up front. Thought it was a back marker, but then realized it was Franky. He had been far ahead, so obviously must have lost time. Gave it all I could, and did get closer, but not enough before the race ended.
Race 2: Initially a repeat of the first, with Franky, Geoffers, me & Dom in the same places. The leaders pulled away quicker this time though, while I still stretched the gap to Dom slowly. Great fun drifting the Firebird through the left hander after the bridge, but probably not good for the rear tyres. As Geoffers mentioned, I found him recovering in a pile of wreckage, in the final moments of the race, but he got going before I could pass.
Grats to Franky on the two wins, Geoffers on the 2nd & Dom on 3rd. Grats to Geoffers on the Championships & Matt on the 3rds.
