Like others I found the cars a bit tricky to drive on this track, think it must have a lowish grip level. Only the Corolla felt good here so it was the one I was most confident with!!!!  whistling

Race 1, not much to report really, just had one moment where I got too much kerb in the final turn, had a wobble, overcorrected & took a trip through the gravel trap.

Race 2, beaten to pole by Erling who had the inside line for T1 which also let Dan nip past too. Got 2nd back from Erling at the turn onto the back straight & grabbed the lead from Dan a lap or two later. Proceeded to make my escape while rear-gunner Dan gassed the opposition. lol

Race 3 in the Corolla (easiest car to drive!). Had to start at the back as I spun it at T1 on my qually lap. Gained a couple of places at the start but then changed down too many gears for the LH hairpin & promptly spun again Roll Eyes. Got my act together after that & slowly worked my way up the field to be finally gifted 2nd place when Clive spun 3 laps from the end.

Congrats to Erling on race 3 victory & to Clive & Dan on their podiums.  clap clap clap

just a few quick remarks: Sorry about my smoking engine guys, from where I was sitting I didn't realize how miserable I was making life for drivers behind me ! It certainly compensated for my lack of driving skills!
By what Geoffers wrote about low grip level and adapting to it, I suddenly realized that one of my common mistakes is that I want the car to behave the way I want it, whereas  it should be that the driver behaves  the way the car allows him to ! So many  times ,too fast in, power on too early, unable to deal with understeer, caught by unstable braking and what have you……..! Back to driving school and learn to listen to and feel a car.   Aaaarrrgh….will I ever learn?

Not all is gloomy though….because I'd like to thank everyone for a very entertaining racing evening
(Kurt I should have waited for you for some extra racing fun)

Cheers, Dan
