Grats to the podium and those who made it to the finish.

I had an old setup for the Honda that I knew worked very well on this track. Probably not fast enough to win, but certainly good enough to maybe be top 5? So I was hopeful of getting a few points.

A little disappointed to go out so early, when the plan was to run a conservative race and focus on getting to the end. The problem with sim racing is that when you know you are up against fast opposition, and on a circuit where passing opportunities are few, instinct kicks in if you have to make a split second decision when presented with a chance to pass.
That was what happened on Lap 3 when John had issues at the bottom of the hill and clipped the barriers. John was obviously slowed and Fulvio, who was close behind him, had to back off, leaving a big gap on the inside of the corner.
I just had to take the gift of 2 places so early in the race and I nailed the gas to fire the Waza up the inside and past both of them. I suspect that it caught Fulvio unawares when a Honda suddenly flashed past on a part of the track where overtakes are rare.

I think there was an element of warp in the contact, because my somersault over the barriers and back again ripping 2 wheels off in the process did seem a little excessive for a simple nudge from behind. I did run the replay immediately after the incident and I don't blame Fulvio for my exit, just a Racing Incident for me.

Sorry Clive for your early bath, I was aware of your pass, but suddenly I was on your gear box and hit you. I think some warp from my side, I noted a little bit red in Q bar before the start. I haven't replay cause GPL crashed soon after. I don't remember, where I can find server replay?

I was confident for this race.
I love Montjuic, it's a track that I always walk in my limit naturally, it fits my style.
the problem is if someone in front of you, it is almost impossible to pass.
only if there is an error, this is how it works in Montjuic, you press the opponent and wait for an error.
But since Tristan never made a mistake, we came, Tristan, me and Greg.
Congratulations to the pilots who went to the end !!!

Very hard race for me !
I was following Eric during the first laps when I spun at the hairpin,
I restarted following Dave (Curtis) when I was disconnected at lap 18 (same happened during qually)

By the way I didn't have enough time to seriously prepare the race. My setup was bad (...just some excuses for my poor race !)
Only one satisfaction : I did more than 50% ...so I could obtain some points for the championship and the team (Black Night Racing always first !)  .

Congratulations to Eric for his first UKGPL race !

I would like to welcome Tristan Bot as the latest addition to Black Night Racing. I expect this will result in a few more  points for the team.

Congrats Tristan and Jonny!

That was interesting. I'm glad the slight bump I gave Jonny wasn't catastrophic. I was also a little lucky there was a little space between John and me. I was worried he might hit me when I had to slow for Jonny.

In a way this one was nerve wracking. I was getting a bad frame rate in T1 and this track never allowed me to reach for the keyboard to turn off everything in Prib but distance meter. I could have slowed some to do that but every tenth was important to stay close to the leaders. I may have been able to tail them without the little handicap.

Thanks for letting me race, guys.
