Good fun race, but far too many mistakes. Good battling with Pete & Frex, all of us making mistakes & letting the others past but pretty intense. Sorry to Matteo on the first lap, got my foot half on the brake & half on the clutch & could not stop quick enough. Shocked

Congrats to Riccardo, Matteo & Pete on the podium. clap clap clap

And congrats to John for winning the championship.  I Am Not Worthy

Don't think I made any serious mistakes, but I did give you a tow along the straights and then let you by again at the end of them a couple of times! But yes, great fun.

I was happy to sit behind and watch the action most of the time, until on the last lap both Pete and Geoff had moments which allowed me through. However, some weirdness then kicked in with Pete suddenly warping back ahead of me, and then my screen went black and the Oculus home splash screen came up.. Never had that happen before. Had to pull over, and hope I did not cause a problem for Pete and Geoff.

Congrats podium, and John for the championship.

Ah that's what happened. I knew I had made a mistake but you came passed at such a rate of knots I was surprised at the speed difference. Then after getting in front you vanished, then reappeared in my re-view mirror before vanishing again. I hoped there hadn't been any warp contact for you that ended your race. Sorry to hear of the Rift issue, can't say it's one I've ever seen.

Great fun battling with yourself, Geoff and Eck last night. Shame Eck didn't have enough fuel and had to pit at the end of lap 4.

Sorry Frex, when your car appeared to vault over the barrier & land beside the track when I was passing I assumed you had had a big 'off', didn't realise it was a technical issue. Gave me a bit of a shock though.  Shocked

Thanks Matt for organising the Series and congratulations to the Series top three. Had problems with Steam updating again and our server not responding again, always seems to be a race night problem with the server, when everything one else is using it.

Still managed to get in the swing again during the race with number of faster laps than my online practice over previous days!

No, nothing like that - if I hadn't got the blank screen I would have carried on fine.

Oh wow, nothing like that happens on my replay, sorry for that!

Shame Eck didn't have enough fuel and had to pit at the end of lap 4.

I'm so stupid.. I picked the car, 'cause I had a setup and knew it worked. After a couple o' practice laps, I had a real brainfart. "The race is three laps, why do I have so much fuel?"... Embarrassed

On the fourth lap, I had weirdness happen as well. It jumped back to windows (I have to apologise to Geoff (sorry sir) n Pete who were both close behind) and a steam message saying it couldn't connect with the friends network. Good, I'm fechin racing, was my immediate thought. Closely followed by, I never fechin talk to them anyway. Now, in my panic I obviously clicked retry... Almost as soon as I got going again, the same message popped up and I was back to windows. I clicked the right thing that time, returned to my in lap and eventually, an all too brief encounter (Can I help?...) with Matt.

Grats to the podium guys, a different class.

I also had back to windows moment with RRE icon on ribbon at bottom luckily I was in slow part of track and just ran off onto the grass without any damage!  Roll Eyes

No computer issues I can blame for my pace, I was going to use the Volvo, and probably should have stayed with it
but the little beemer is much easier here, so went with that. I have a vague memory of wondering why I was suddenly in front
of Eck, but saw nothing weird (except being in front of Eck)
