When I lost concentration and put a wheel on the grass entering Stirlings, I almost decided to quit when a wheel fell off. But then I wondered if with the lead that I had and only a few laps left to run, maybe I could still score some decent points?? I knew that Uli would pass me and probably Tim too, but then there was a big gap back to Bastian. I decide to give it a go and see how fast ( slow) I could drag the damaged car around. The final lap was getting a bit close as Bastian closed in and I had to oh so careful not to stick my car into a barrier somewhere and lose time.
Everything considered, it should have been max points for me, but it was just an unforced error when I was cruising and to get the points you have to finish the race. Getting 3rd place with only 3 wheels for the last 4 laps was some serious damage limitation and I was lucky.  Roll Eyes
i
Grats to Uli and Tim and grats to all finishers and thanks to the backmarkers when I had 4 wheels. Apologes to anyone I held up when I was limping on 3 wheels.

Bad day at the office for me.

I bogged down at the start just as my daughter walked in and wanted to ask me something. Good of her to only remove one side of my headphones but I still clipped a barrier and ended up facing the wrong way.

Tried to warm the engine a bit and took it easy for a few laps then made up some ground and passed the 2 Daves but made a mistake and had a grassy moment needing a reset.

Back to full tanks I was slowly catching Dave R but ran out of time. Car felt good but not a favourite track of mine so second was OK.

I'm very happy with 2nd, but must confess to really not enjoying that.
I normally love Brands so have to assume it was the setup and/or the fact I was driving the bathtub Grin

I haven't seen what happened to Tris yet, but bad luck to him and to Clive, and well done to Uli for a win and everyone else to managed to drag it home.
Clive in his Robin especially for finishing.

If you want finish first you have to finish first.

What a night! Straight from my Silverstone win with the GPL-Racers flying with a helicopter 200 km in the south of England. From the Matra MS80 into my winning car from Brazil to race in Brands Hatch one of my most likely circuits - shame to that small grid here.
Not well prepare because I was not sure if this race would be run, and lately on the track I was happy to manage a 1:25 lap for my first time and second place in the grid.
A bad start followed and Tristan took his chance. It lasts some nice laps behind him until I could overtake him at Hawthorn Bend - THX to you Tris, not my best manoeuvre, very gentle to make no senseless back fight - but Clive was 5 sec in front now, so I tried to push but there was no chance to close the gap that went to 7 sec. and my back tires getting to hot driving this way.
So I concentrate on easy constant going to finish second but with 6 laps to go Clive made a trip to the green in “Surtees Bend“ and I took unexpected the lead.
My most critical moment was the first lapping of Dave. He had an extremely wrapping and wasn't to see the MOST time. I didn‘t see where I overlap him! Second lapping was totally ok no wrapping at all and faire as always.
Big hand to you Evil and Tim, nice to be with you on podium. Grats Fabian, great race with this very special, beautiful Lotus - nice to see that you can handle him better from race to race.
Hope I find time to see you next 69 race with hopfully a bigger grid again.

I've loaded the chassis the drivers used into the token calculator spreadsheet.  For the next race the available tokens will be as declared in the table below (the table will also appear in the next race announcement).  The calculated values are automated but selecting the cars is a manual process so please check your tokens to make sure I haven't made a silly error.  There was no token overspend for this round so no one is disqualified.
