apologize to Geoffer for the touch but I saw wide then he came back and I could not slow down .... sorry

Ok Riccardo, my fault in the first place for running wide into the chicane, didn't leave you much room when I tried to get back on the racing line.

Crazy race,
as the race starts I was sure this was the formation lap as it was announced as a rolling start. After a while I realized, that I am the only one who was thinking that way. Of course I was the last of seven. Then I drove a little quicker and gained a few positions. After 4 laps I was on P3 but then I had a disco. This was my first serious race in RRE and in all those years with GT Legends I had only very few discos. I guessed a completely new game would run better than nearly 15 year old GT Legends. This seems not to be the case. But the 964 is a nice car and racing a lot of fun. Looking forward for the next races.

LOL - That'll teach you to read the race announcement Shocked The rest of us should all be disqualified and you given the win! It does indeed say Rolling Start!!!!

Don't think we've ever done rolling starts with RRE on a Thursday so no idea where that got captured from. Hope the disco was a one off, we don't seem to get many although Bill does have his issues. Look forward to you beating me again next time Wink

Maybe these are not so safe then after I spun at Ascari whilst trying to chase John! And also went off at the last corner when I messed up my braking point. Enjoyed it otherwise, although sorry to see Riccardo and Geoffers tangle early on, that was a shame. And I did wonder why Markus dropped back at the start..!

Congrats John. And Markus for the moral victory.

I didn't even notice the rolling start! and the race before was the same no rolling start.
good fun these cars I prefer them to the GT3 cup car.
no race results yet but i believe that Frex did get the fastest lap at 2.07.100 so he was faster than me by 1/2 a second do it would have been interesting if he hadn't of spun at the chicane.
looking forward to the next race well done podium.

Results posted. (late because I was racing at Anglesey this weekend)

Sorry for the mess up, my excuse is that I was whizzing round the country last week with hotel lowfi that would drop
when I most wanted it  taz And, I forget things...

Pete is correct, I have never run an event in years of P&G and R3E that was a rolling start. When we start a new series
it copies the "last known at this track" which is this case was not one of my events, and I missed it.
Any future events should be standing starts, if not I will put it in HUGE red letters
Sorry to mess up your inaugral event in this series Markus, and welcome  thumbup1

Thank you for the warm welcome. I hope that next race my connection will stay. The disco was more annoying than the start ;-)

When you get a minute Markus, can you add your country to your profile so you will get a nice little flag next to your name in results  Grin

been a long time since i tried RRE, am i able to try these cars before i buy? Does anyone know if there is a fanatec controller tweak guide for the best ffb? Reason i gave up on this was that i had no feel through my steering despite it being quite high end kit.
Wouldnt mind trying these cars out as i used to have a 964 so i'm well placed to know if they are any good in game  Smiley

I thought you could try before buy any cars, but although people say you can, I can't figure how Huh
I own most of them, but if I go to a group I don't have, I still don't see the try option.
Apparently for 5 laps at a time.

EDIT: Ok you can test drive, but you need to go to the store from in game.

I don't have fanatec, so can't say, but there have been updates for fanatec, though I would have to dig to
see exactly what for. Be good to get you opinion whether you choose to run or not.  thumbup1

I'm using a Fanatec wheel and I never tweak tweak anything. Generally I feel I get more help in RRE than AC but then I'm a carp driver both in real life and the sims  Cry

Hi Mark, I don't have force feedback on my wheel, so can't comment from personal experience. However I have heard that it can be helpful to set up ffb on a per car basis in raceroom by setting the appropriate ffb multiplier on the car setup screen. I'm not sure that you'll have access to that if you are just trying the cars for free before purchase (no chance to play with setups until you purchase).

But anyway, here is a general overview of ffb settings from the official forums: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/ffb-guide.55/

And here is someone's Fanatec specific settings that seems to get positive comments: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/fanatec-v2-5-ffb.10852/

Maybe something there that helps you.

cheers Frex, much obliged, will see how it feels and if still iffey i'll check out those links. Setting ffb per car sounds a bit of a faff though!  Tongue
