Race: 20:30 (30mins)

Cars allowed: Porsche 964
Track
: Autodrom Most
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing Start
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Start procedure
*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap
(6) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

It's not Thursday night yet Wink

Personally I only use the race password for the actual race that way I know if the real event has started or not. Others may do it differently.

I have managed to get the server running. I set the name to something new. I think it is now sroukrre.org.uk
I have used opera again, I guess fireyfox or chrome would work, but IE doesn't work fully, like can't stop the server
from the IE webgui. I can't remember how I got it to launch opera as the default.... probably a browser setting
Anyroadup, server seems to be running ok, I can log in from R3E, if anyone sees anything weird please shout up
Pete is correct about passwords, but I usually just leave it as race password, probably the wrong thing to do
there are only two... so should not be too much of an issue.  Grin

Nice race.
in qualy i knew to be not the fastest, but i tried to do my best.

Race: with a flash start i can get the lead, for about 13 minutes.

then i think geoff begin to push and he recover the gap. Very good overtake at the first corner, where both keeping the right line avoid the contact.

fortunately for me, he make a mistake  Grin and i recover the distance and overtake him.

But he is faster than me and he get the lead again and push until the end of race.

Happy for my second place and for my pace, enough costant tonight.

ciao

Apologies, that was terrible from me  Roll Eyes

Down-shifted into the wrong gear at T1 and spun for a great start, then had 3 more spins and numerous other more minor offs during the race. I did feel I was getting the hang of it in the latter half but my left front and rear tyres had gone off by then. Will try and do better next time.

Congrats Geoff and Alessandro.

Well after my last two dismal attempts at racing these that came as a real surprise.

Tried several setup changes to try to get the car to turn better on the power but when I got it to turn better it became more difficult to drive so resorted to a safer setup for the event & went faster!

Race was good fun battling with Alessandro, looked like he would pull away at the beginning but I was gradually able to reduce his early lead & when he got a little onto the grass out of the final turn I got the inside line into the chicane & took the lead. Only lasted for a couple of laps though, I lost control out of the esses behind the pits & went off. Reeled Alessandro in again & retook the lead when he ran onto the grass through the fast right kink, after which I seemed to be able to pull away quite easily. Shame Frex had a few offs he was lapping faster than both of us at the front & would probably have caught us.

Congrats to Alessandro & Frex on the podium  clap clap & commiserations to Bill & Matt

Away next week so cya all at Mid Ohio.  thumbup1
