m'eh I am only an outsider for the third slot anyway, pretty sure it is between you and Fabri. My best hope is you take each other out in a spinning mess into the Armco and I get a good haul of points  devil  Grin

FMG will love this old-school track, its flowing curves suit these old cars nicely. Be nice to run some other historics here too sometime, the old F1 cars would be a hoot here.  Smiley

Ahem, old time GPL'er here - I would have been racing this layout for a good 15 years by now I  recon  wheelchair

F1 is certainly fun here, but sandevort wins for the 67 cars if you want to stay in this corner of the world.

You know, I was a bit fed up after I tried the track earlier and saw how bad a conversion it was, but despite that its a nice layout and gave some good racing - even with my potato moment spinning at the hairpin in race 2 I just kept going trying to catch back up and I had fun  Grin

A big thank you to Mark for taking the time organising the races and I hope you come up with some nice series to follow on with  thumbup1

It was a hard race for me. I never liked this track, and together with GTA it only confirmed my "love".   In the first race I went wrong, finished fifth, the last, after the mass exodus of riders, who, apparently, were not too excited about this combo either.  Cheesy
In the second race there was a lot of struggle, but only the wizard of FMG was passed me using his magic . Keeping my teeth together, having beaten off all the attacks of Max, Fabry and Mark, finished second. Cool
In both races, I am very tired mentally and physically, moving this bath in turns in 4 gear box . And looking at my chat video  later, I discovered that Fabri was mad at me.  Yes, friend, I apologize for 1 lap of the first race bump. Here I am to blame, of course, I returned the position immediately, skipping at the same time Pete too, but not for long.  Smiley Then I was extremely surprised by our contact, I didn’t expect your sudden deceleration here, but, looking through the replay, I found the reason. I walked in the bag after you, on final 4 gear, flatout, and ? having good speed, i started to go left for overtaking on the inside, and suddenly you slowed down for a moment (switching from 4 to 5 gear at that moment, you lost small amount of speed and I pushed you. Embarrassed. It's good that you luckyly and skilly managed  the car and continue the race (see video). I apologize again.  Smiley  :
 Here is this moments:
https://youtu.be/ixCYsnAXzKY

But in the second race I would not say that I was to blame for our episode. Please look:  in defend, i walked clearly on the inside, and starting to turn left. You (for a moment earlier) began to turn and turned in fact into me. Isn't it? IMHO, racing accident (see video 07min.15sec, i've made an insert from the replay there too). So don't hold on me any harm.  I Am Not Worthy I regret that this shit happened.  Undecided
https://youtu.be/OIBFxdrtJzU

Thank you all guys for the race, congratulations FMG with an unconditional victory in the championship! Congratulations 2nd and 3rd winners! I think the Fabri  won the fight for the 3rd place? (I did not count the points, waiting for race table)
Thanks to everyone who had to fight on this crazy races, thanks to Max for join the fights and intrigue! Thanks to Mark for the organization and care, Pete - for the server!  thumbup2
I say goodbye until new meetings, after a break from racing. I will look at the forum from time to time.

PS. I wish FMG to perform with honor at the F1 Legends Championship, I support you and I will monitor the results on SRO forum. Win on them all, man!  punk

well that was a cracking way to end the series for me personally. Both races i was in a great chase or battle from lights to flag with either Max, fabri or Alexey    The ability to close race with these cars is what has made many races such fun and adrenaline filled, i really dont get why it didnt prove more popular.

Qually was quite intense as at least 4 of us traded close times within tenths and i bagged 3rd or 4th i think.

Race 1 was a race long chase of Max whilst being chased by fabri for 3rd place. I kept with FMG and Max for quite a few laps until FMG stretched his lead. One mistake by either Max or myself and it would have been a place lost and it made it more intense but i kept my 3rd place  punk

Race 2 was even more intense with a constant battle with Fabri, running inches apart, even whilst sideways in the corners  Shocked i was loving it. At times there were 3-4 cars in a close gaggle, all trading places or track space.
Both Fabri and myself had attempts at getting past Alexey as we were both quicker on the night, the combo suiting our old school drifting techniques more  Tongue
At one point 3 of us headed into the downhill fast left and with Alexey on the inside and Fabri alongside, they unfortunately bounced off each other and i was past Fabri. (my view from behind is that Alexey maybe should have hugged the inside apex more tightly but without a rift he was probably unaware that Fabri was still alongside in such a fast dangerous corner as its quite ball-sy to stay on the outside there).
But then i kept losing time trying to find a way around Alexey and he re-caught us both. The fight was back on, and literally with 2 corners to go, Fabri got a better exit out of the tight right hander while i was distracted with Alexeys swinging derrier and he was past! I couldnt risk a do or die at the final chicane as we would both have been off  Sad
So i finished behind both my title antagonists for 3rd in the series  taz

No idea why 3 or 4 drivers quit in race 1 and didnt bother to return for race 2  Huh

Big congrats to FMG on winning the series, a worthy champion I Am Not Worthy and glad Max pushed him on occasion at least.
Big thanks to those that raced the series and stuck with it  thumbup1  i really enjoyed the close battles with these feisty oldtimers.  Smiley

Alexey, no personal thing. Simply a drive absolutely not clean. In addition to the two episodes there is certainly another one, when in Race2 you braked sharply (40 m early) in turn 2 in the middle of track, forcing me on the grass.

I was "slightly warned" in the forum for talking about incidents in the past. It seems that you can do that instead and every time. So in the meantime, I explain that in the contact in Race1, obviously I have not lift. You simple rammed me.  Smiley

The contact in Race2 is the simple example of how it is impossible to overtake you, and that you expect a contact if you try to do it. Unplayble.

I am not of the opinion that pilots should report contacts, etc, but this is the rule here. The only way (if I understand correctly) to display some episodes is to do a formal report. So I'll do that.

As pilot/player I accept your apology. But I think that these episodes have caused a damage to me, and should be viewed by race-admins.

I haven't the replay, can someone link it?

In any case, great races. Good battle, Mark!
Nice series with a very funny car, unlucly few players.

Second corner i always brake too early, maybe. Because i can't do it later due my 4 gear setup POV and ability how to manage this turn. As i see in race, wrong POV. This it it why i hate this track .  But see the vid above- why FMG win me in this turn using his brain, in one jump?  Yes. Just because he it wise first.  I have  no enough traning and practice there and not learned this track in ideal proper way in result. But man, if you behind- you have a time to see how others managing his cars.. May be in wrong way, like me, in this case.  Wink
And please before you tell any to others- first have a replay, analize it. Then you'll see that in 1st race 1 st lap you had a speed drawdown when upshifting fron 4 to 5   In this case i should be more wise . I just shouldn't have go too close and must think that other pilot use different gears. I say again - it's my fault due i was behind you and attack too close to you.

PS . Fabri, what epizode with 2nd turn and you "go to grass when i brake 40 meters earlier" you mean? I just rewatched a replay and see NOTHING with you. No yours grass, no loose positions, no wrong braking points Shocked Please, be more correct next time with such kind of things.  Wink
I have a replay with my 138 ping. You need it? Or ask other pilots for it and see .

PPS here is my replay for you.

Alexey, don't start the usual logorrheic polemics. Every time. Again and again. Stop that please.  Smiley
You're not following a forum rule.

Rules extract

Under no circumstances should drivers engage in discussion of incidents in a public forum (including in-game chat). In particular, no attempt should be made to apportion blame.
A brief mention of an incident may be made in a public race report.

And I don't understand, frankly, why nobody tells you this.
You don't follow the rules in the forum, you don't follow the rules on the track.

Learn from your mistakes and don't do always polemics. Thank you!  thumbup2  Kiss

Sometimes polemics and operating facts, replays, vids is only way  if referee absent here for now and we have misunderstandings, not complete analize or fake news.   Smiley
