Hi Axel,

I thought that I would try this SCX mod and the new Alpha, plus the Phillip Island track.

All installed, selected Alpha and Phillip Island. joined offline "Training" session.

Everything works except the car will not move!!?? Engine revs OK, gears select OK ( and gear selection shows on my screen ), wheels go round OK, car also rocks from side to side ....but car does not move???  Huh It is like car is stuck on a haybale??

EDIT:-  Tried Daytona with same result

Yes, I tried re calibrating the controls......................same result???  Everything works, even the tyres appear to rotate, but the car does not move??

This is a new one on me too  Undecided

The only thing I can think to do is delete and do a fresh download and install Huh?

yes, just download it again and install it over the old one, check the let it remove former install.

Sometimes the install routine seems to forget things...

New download and install, allowed it to delete old files, all went OK, but same result??  The car even dips at the rear when I engage gear, or at front when I press brake, engine revs up steering works, drivers arms move...….but not the car?Huh

 I am totally baffled???!!!

EDIT:-
I tried other mods at other tracks just to be sure that it was purely the Sports Cars, they all worked fine. Tried other SC cars but same issue...no movement??

Back to GEM and the SC mod, unchecked and re-checked the 60fpsnewmod box and made sure nothing else was activated.
Fired up GPL offline "Testing"
Selected Alpha
Looked at the "Options" for auto gearbox etc...checked and then unchecked all boxes
Re calibrated the Controls, although they all appeared to be correct and working.
Set Sounds to max and detail to max

Tried the car and it is now working Huh!!!   I have never had anything like this before, and I cannot see that anything I did should have had any effect on the problem. If I had NOT previously had the 60fpsnewmod patch activated, then maybe that just might have caused a graphics problem? but not like I was experiencing. And anyway it WAS checked!!, I simply unchecked and re-checked the box in GEM???

I cannot say that I have found a solution to this problem that could be used by others if they ever have the same issue, but my install now works  Undecided.

EDIT 2:-!!!!
OK!! so this is now getting silly!!  Undecided Everything works OFFLINE. But when I join UKGPL 8 on IGOR ( using the button within GEM, so same settings apply )  I have the problem...the car does everything except move!!!

EDIT 3... Somehow the CLUTCH pedal was configured/calibrated in reverse in the online mode? Thanks to Axel for his suggestion.

Sorry you are having trouble Clive.

I downloaded the new track, it should be very good for on-line league racing. Plenty of run-off and not much to hit which would send a car back onto the racing line in front of other cars. The "ditches" either side of the track will encourage drivers to stick to the tarmac so it should reward consistent driving.

I didn't have any trouble with my controls Clive. However I always have to calibrate my wheel and pedals every time I start GPL. Sometimes it can be a pain to get a pedal to register if the calibration is a long way out. Not sure if this is related to your problem or not. Incidentally I use a different profile for each mod, not sure if that would make a difference to you.

Axel was online when I was repeatedly trying to find a solution to my problem on the server. He got it right away, when he asked about the clutch. I rarely use the clutch pedal, but somehow the "online" calibration was different to my "offline calibration.

It transpired that the online clutch pedal was inverted?? With the pedal in the "UP" position there was zero drive ( although I could select all gears ), but If I depressed the pedal...suddenly the car lurched forward.

I have never come across this before and have absolutely no idea how I managed to do that. Anyway all working now and yes!, the track holds much promise for future fun.
