Race 1: finally rediscovered the missing second in the Bellet albeit I was unable to beat my existing PB.
After the usual slow start dropping to 8th place during first half of lap 1 I was able to climb back to third place. After that a lonely and faultless race  Smiley

Race 2: had already realized that I wasn't that fast in the Alfa. After dropping to last and some offs I had to quit  Sad . Still not able to set up the Alfa in order to be competitive.
Admired Geoffers pace in the Alfa - well done.

Results to be posted as soon as Nappe sent me the files.

Missing the next two events due to my yearly holidays  Grin . As I'll be online from time to time, I will be able tie results from my holiday resort.

Back for racing on 24th June.

The first race went really well. Although I had the pole, Geoffers, Mr. Rocketstart, was way faster than I was for the first meters. But in the Div2 Escort I was quicker and so after a really great fight for some laps, I took the lead and finally won.
In the second race I also took the  Escort. Although it is lighter and more powerful, I was not able to be as quick as I was with the Div2 Escort. I have to examine whether it is just me or the car or the setup. I don`t know.
I had no chance against a really strong Geoffers (again) though in the middle of the race he mede a small mistake that cost some time. But I was pushing as hard as I could, lap for lap, but I could not close the gap. In the end I was glad to keep Tony`s Capri behind me.
Grats to Clive, Geoffers and all other participants!
I will miss the next race, i`m in France for a few days but I will be back. Have a good race in the Eifel.

Thanks Nappe for organizing this stuff. I hope to see you  the next race.

Decided to run a 1600 & a 2000 car as I had not driven either class before. Tested all 4 available cars & decided on the Escort TC for the 1600s as it was a little faster & easier to drive than the Isuzu & the Alfa for the 2000s as it was quicker than the Escort BDB which, like Markus, I found was slower than the 1600 Escort here.

Race 1, got a great start & had a fight with Markus for the lead on the first couple of laps until  Markus got a gap & pulled away. I couldn't match his pace in the Escort  so had to settle for a lonely race to 2nd place.

Race 2, again a great start to get ahead of the bigger BMWs, had a battle with Clive's BMW for the lead on the first lap but the extra power told & Clive got away. Soon had Rog's BMW to contend with & he too got ahead & pulled away. Looked like another lonely race but I made a mistake & got on the grass braking for Becketts around half distance, did a wall of death around the grass bank & only just regained the track ahead of Markus. Managed to ease away over the remaining laps though to hold on to 3rd & a class win.

Congrats to Markus & Clive on their race wins.  clap clap

Points Updated after Silverstone. Smiley

Sorry about the delay, the flue was worst one in last 6-7 years. Took me 8 days to be back to work and today was first evening I could fully practice Nurburgring. (That's 12 days from the first symptoms.)
