a chance to try these feisty little cars out  Smiley

I think I actually prefer the Caterham Academy cars as more pure to the Caterhams that we all know, and they are manual H-Shifts, but these are quicker for sure albeit with paddle shifts (which seems alien in a caterham to me!  Tongue )

(to Pete, decent track temps please or the tyres may stay too cold for such light cars).

Rift users will love the open cockpit views all round  Smiley

I won't have the option to do any laps until race night probably so I've no way to check. What ambient / track temps are good?

For now you should have track temp between 31 and 35 deg C

This temperatures are OK Pete  Smiley Just checked in server in some laps. All tyres becomes green. The car is still wip, but fun to drive. Something strange setup values here but ok for fun race.  Smiley

BTW Just tryed a full grig test race with AI on this cars and was wondered to see only 25 fps here, when i usually has 60..
During race fps rising up to 45. Be warned about it in tomorrow's race  Undecided
Mod is very fun to drive but not optimized for races at all for a long time...

must admit i havent had time for a single lap of practise, will have to learn on the fly tonight.

As for cold tyres, think you need to make them work harder on such a light car. Increase camber, adjust toe and scrub them more in the corners.

that was quite a hoot considering the low numbers  Smiley  Had lots of close fun racing, dicing either side of another car, great fun  The open-cockpit view is ace for close racing.

Alexey was right, there is an fps hit with these (strange I didn't notice it in an AI race) so a bigger grid might have turned into a stutter fest. Though not as fast as these 420R's you should give the Caterham academy mod a try, the racing would be even more intense.

https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/caterham-academy.6794/

Maybe i'll run another fun race using them at Cadwell park  Smiley
