to be honest we could have 8 rounds at the Bridge in a row and i'd still be asking for more in these.
I'm with you there, anything old and fast at the bridge is just a dream combo Grin , so I'm happy to do a re-run next week to allow the no shows and technical issues to get a shot at the full race   Smiley

Congrats to Jukka, nice controlled pace and a well deserved win, hope you stick around for some more races  Smiley

Qually I did an ok lap, but didn't quite nail that magic one, so had to settle for 2nd. The race was good, first ~15 minutes were sat behind Jukka looking for a gap but I never found one, and each time up the main straight that chevy just laughed away  Cheesy.  Then I made an error at  T4? and braked slightly too late, Jukka was on the inside line and I had no choice but to go outside to avoid a collision and that put me into the sand. As I recovered Fabri went screaming past, and I had to chase him for a few laps will I got a chance to pass and started to hunt Jukka down. Sadly I made a couple of small mistakes which ended with a wheel on the sand and precious seconds lost, so to finish 0.2 down at the flag was a good result overall.  The last few laps were quite interesting, the rear tyres started to seriously give up on traction and I could see in front Jukka had the same problem  Grin

If there's a chance of a re-run I'll not import last night's results just yet.

Sadly I've messed my hip up and this makes racing some nights rather awkward. I do want to do more of these but does depend on my discomfort level day to day. I'll never be competitive so, from a championship point of view, it makes no difference to me if I miss a round or it gets re-run.

How many guys actually raced last night? There were only 3 other guys on the server as qually was about to start and my wheel got borked so i never got to see if anyone else turned up late.

A re-run will only happen if the race finishers agree to it as dont want to rob them of hard earned points.  Just seems too good a combo to waste on a few runners due to the circumstances.  Undecided

hmm, maybe best leave the result standing then.  Cry

Disapointing for me as i was looking forward to this race and seemed to be on top 4 pace for once, but hey ho...put it down to car failure!  Tongue Just hope i havent got to send my wheel back to Fanatec as that'll mean i miss the next couple of weeks. Im hoping its been the latest microsoft updates that borked the firmware/drivers and not a mechanical failure but odd that it suddenly let go mid session which makes me fear the worst.  Sad

maybe run the race again at the end of the season as a "fun" event  Huh

turnout was a bit disappointing, we had 10 last time + 2 new guys since,  could have been good  Sad

I'm also of idea to mantein this race, leaving the result standing then, and add again Bridgehampton as final series-race. So a race more in the championship.
I remember that there were technical problems (from the server) during the race with the GTAs in Japan, and there was no re-run or cancellation of the results, although remained only two pilots inside.  Grin

About my race: mediocre race. When Max passed me, I was thinking to stay with him, but when I tryed push a bit more, I did a lot of small mistakes. In the second part of race I had a complete lack of pace, accumulating a considerable final gap.

Congratulations to Jukka, pole, victory and always in the lead. But congratulations also to Max, an impressive pace with Ford.

Unfortunately others had technical problems.
Hopefully things will get better next race and have more drivers.

Do you want to be listed as a driver MJ even though you turned no laps? It's just your in the results file twice, once with each car type, and I need to edit at least one out before it can be imported. Which car type do you want if the answer is yes, Chevy or Ford?

That's the pedals fixed for now - I dismantled them and cleaned all the pots, then I switched them around so the Clutch pot is now on the accelerator as it's obviously least worn.
All 3 pedals report lovely smooth travel in game now Smiley

Unfortunately I then screwed straight through the wire to the throttle pedal while re-assembling and had to take them back apart again to find and fix the fault Roll Eyes
To celebrate I tried the Lola Chevy - 2 laps into a full fuel run I equalled my best lap from the Ford, so hopefully I'll be playing at the front again next race angel

I then tried the 917-30 to test out the boost knob on the button box and all I can say is Shocked
200+Mph under the bridge with light trail braking the entire way to T2.
I was running a setup from Mosport so it couldn't cope with the bumps - every corner was simply a wait before you could touch the throttle again...
Still did a 1:20 and there's loads to gain with an improved setup....

thumbup1 to the pedals, did you superglue the wheel on too so that come off again Tongue

You're making me think I don't drive that 917/30 enough though...
