The rejoining driver (DR) was NOT in full control but nevertheless attempted to drive straight back onto the racing line without any consideration for other drivers and contact was made.

Server replay time: 0h40m29s

At 40m29s, Clive Loynes spun and went out of the track
2 or 3 seconds after, Ziu almost loose control, went on the grass and collide with Clive's car
There were yellow flags.

Moderation rule is :

The yellow flags were clearly visible. The cars from the incident were moving or would clearly need to reset to continue. The approaching driver made no attempt to slow down and contact was made with the cars from the incident.

Server replay time: 0h40m37s

At 40m37, Clive had fully recovered the control of the car from previous incident and try to re-join the track at the moment Bastian is coming.

Blatant bad rejoin : penalty 2 places

An evening to forget. During practice I ran into the back of Andreas. very sorry - I thought my braking point was in the right place - probably misjudged the tow. I hit a combination of keys that accidentally exited GPL - when I returned my wheel needed a reset. Made it to the grid in time only to find out the steering was configured backwards & left went right & vice versa. Race over before it began! Shame as I had a reasonably good qualifying time.

Sorry Francesco, I lost control of the car in the grass or sand and I hit your car.
Hopefully, it seems it was OK for you and could finish the race.

I've loaded the chassis the drivers used into the token calculator spreadsheet.  For the next race the available tokens will be as declared in the table below (the table will also appear in the next race announcement).  The calculated values are automated but selecting the cars is a manual process so please check your tokens to make sure I haven't made a silly error. There was no token overspend for this round so no one is disqualified.

Unlucky Bill. We qualified a few hundredths apart so I was hoping for a decent race with you. Maybe next time  Grin

Grats to Andreas and the podium finishers.

I cannot complain at my finishing position after risking the engine to break the 1:18 barrier, I should have been more restrained after I had taken the lead and concentrated on getting to the flag.

Qualifying was huge fun with Ziu and myself trading times to get to pole position. There was never more than a few tenths between us, with Andreas and Clive Loynes very close too. My pole time was done on race fuel so I was confident that I would be able to match anyone's pace when the real action started.
Ziu got a better start and slipped into P1 at the first corner, with myself in 2nd and several other cars in close company. I suspect that Ziu was being careful on cold tyres in the early laps, and I wanted to go a little faster because I was concerned about the 3 litre cars behind me when we got to the straights, but I could not see a safe way to get past and had to follow in his wheel tracks.
Then I had a bad moment with my shifter and missed a downshift, which sent me into the gravel and dropped me way down the field with 33 laps still to race.

I pushed very hard to try and make up some places and was able to catch and pass a few cars. After about 10 laps I could see a group of cars about 6 secs ahead, and Prib was telling me that the next car was Clive Loynes. The list on prib showed 3 cars ahead, Clive, Bastian and Andreas but it did not tell me where Ziu was. I was assuming that Ziu was away and clear in 1st place.

Slowly I caught the back of that group ahead and was surprised that when I got closer I could see a red Ferrari at the front of the group, so I was running in 5th place with the leading four cars all together right ahead of me!!! I was amazed that I had managed to catch them all after my "off".
My biggest problem was that they were mostly in 3litre cars and their grunt out of the final corner was just too much for my little 2litre car to match. But after a few laps I worked out that I was much better under braking into T1, so that would have to be where I made any pass. In turn I set up each pass by hooking up the slipstream and pouncing in the braking zone. One by one I eased my way through until I was closing on Ziu's Ferrari and working out where I could attack him. Then he ran wide at T1 and I was released into the lead  Shocked.
It was relatively easy to ease away and build a comfortable lead. My setup felt great and Prib was showing that a 1:17 sec lap was definitely possible. Maybe the recovery from my early incident and the chase back to the front had put strain on the engine, or maybe I stretched the revs just a little too much chasing a 1:17 lap. Either way, something broke and with 6 laps left I was driving a lame car with zero speed.
It was a hugely enjoyable race in a car that felt almost perfect and I have only myself to blame for throwing it all away. Looking forward to the next race  Wink

Great drive Evil and congratulations to AnGex, Cookie and Ziu.

It's your own fault Evil for driving a lady's car!  Man up a bit!

It was an eventful race.  Mostly the battle raged just in front of me and the braking distance of Cookie's Eagle, being about half that of the Lotus43 meant that I was just waiting for the fun to kick off as they were running in very close formation.

Evil's camoflage Brabham was almost on top of me before I was it, being cleverly painted to look like tarmac with white lines on it!  Whilst I was trying to figure out what he was up to I made a mistake in the Mickey Mouse section and let him through.  That was a shame as I was intent on letting him through anyway as I thought he might have the same effect as a hand grenade on the group in front.  He did but I was too far back to take advantage at that point.

Cookie lost his tow and I was able to get him on the straight and Ziu had dropped behind after his fight with Evil.

That put me into 3rd spot, which was a hell of a lot better than expected.

But it wasn't to last.  Cookie was all over me in the slow stuff and I made an error, which allowed him through.  As I was struggling in the sand, Ziu threw his Ferrari at me, which turned me around to face the wrong way on the outside of the turn 4.  As I tried to find the track, Bastian appeared but that is the subject of an incident report so no more will be said.

Thanks for the racing.

The only thing to say is that this "track finding" ended my race on a tire.
My last hope was that you nudge me off that tire the next lap.
