did some recon laps last night but think the bumbly Vette will struggle here against the more nimble other cars. About the only place i can use its torquey grunt is up the long hill back straight. It feels clumsy in the infield section.
Not sure if i like this version of the track  Undecided its a bit clinical, i liked the acf1? version we'ved used before personally.

Bad luck Mark! ... disconnection close to the end is really sad and frustrating.
offtopic ...About 4 or 5 laps to the end, my ping jumped to 150 and I was really scared because last race I had ping problems all the race and disconnect at the end ..luckily it went down back to 65 as usual  sweatdrop

After the pole , the race was really intensive, always with few seconds from Max after he overtook me in T4 the second or third lap,... (this time you pitted like me without tyre changing, so my plans to pitstop overtaking disappeared !! Sad ..)
Anyway it was real fun all the race .. and you're really fast with a slower car

Congratulations Max you well deserved the win!!!

You two front guys cars must be much kinder on the tyres than my tyre shredding Vette. I was able to keep with you both and harass AlFrance continuously for 20mins (which was great fun!)  then my tyres went through a bad spell where they became 'snatchy' and the car kept locking up under braking/understeering etc. Then they came back to life! but by then you both had pulled out a 8-10 sec gap before the stops  Cry
I had reckoned on the tyres suffering here so plumped for a new set of mediums at the stop. Though i was able to set a string of new pb's with my fresh boots and lower fuel, i couldnt gain anywhere near enough time to the two ahead who hadnt changed tyres as they now had a 30sec advantage  Shocked
I was only racing Simon really at this point but he was about 8 secs behind me so only had to cruise to the finish in the dying minutes once he quit. Then the bastich connection dropped  taz

Well that tactic only works once, you caught me out at Spa and I just couldn't beat the straight line speed of that Porsche.  At the Nurburgring I expected it but knew being a twisty track the soft tyres were strong enough to re-pass you if needed, and this time I used your tactic knowing if you did change tyres I'd have got far enough up the road you wouldn't catch me in time  Tongue

Can you tell that to my tyres, poor things got murdered. Pretty sure I was on the canvas the last few laps  lol

I was trying to leave my pitstop as late as possible to decide what to do about tyres at the last possible moment. Unfortunately I hadn't looked at the fuel guage and I ran out of fuel half way around the lap I was planning on pitting on! Had to ESC to pits and then it DQ'd me for not taking my pit stop in the window as I exited the pits, despite being forced to wait for ages in the pits to serve the penalty and then having no chance to do a lap and pit again. What a numpty!

Sorry I couldn't get to the PC earlier. As no one else restarted the server I've just done it with reduced practice.

Sorry for the **** up.
