My Brazilian is zero and I'm always impressed by others ability to have English as a second language and use it so well but.........

Luis, Good Night means Bye Bye, Good Evening means Hello.

I hope no offence is caused by my petty observation, none is meant.  smartass

So, by XD the forecast of laps (Silverstone 70) for a 60 liter tank was 27 laps ...
Well perhaps.....
By my reckoning (and this can be affected by drivers setup and style) I had it at 2.28 litres per lap so that equated to just over 26 laps. I therefore revised the lap count to 25 to avoid anyone running out of fuel. However I have to say that Ziu told me by pm that he was getting a higher fuel figure and wanted to have the race further shortened.

My car's fuel consumption was at 2.18 per lap

Very content with process of practice and quali improving to slightly under 1:30 by just refining my Nogaro setup
and after I learned that Woodcote can be done in 5th full  Grin
But in race ironically I lost the car in that particular corner.   Tongue

Nice turnout. Cannot imagine what would have been possible with Geoffers, Erling and some others around  Wink

Results to be posted tonight.

Thanks Tony and all involved for organizing this addon series.

Monaco will be a different thing ...  Huh

 Cool

Enjoyed that a lot. Something about that old Silverstone with it's sweeping turns and long straights brings a big smile to my face. Didn't actually care where I finished, I just enjoyed the feeling of speed and unlike Clive, I love that rasping engine note. Nice to have a good grid, thanks to everyone for turning out. Always makes the effort required to set up one of these "extra" series worth it. If we had the four missing drivers we could have had a fifteen car grid  Shocked
Next is Monaco which is typically a crash fest  Roll Eyes
Oh well, here goes  scared

Really love "OLD-Silverstone" too and also like the carsounds which here imo fit a lot better than in the Alpine A110.

Here some information about Alpine F3 cars: http://www.f3history.co.uk/Manufacturers/Alpine/alpine.htm?LMCL=UZTYYR

Apologies to Luis, as, after falling off I caught him up and hit it from behind as I misjudged his braking  Shocked
My fault entirely.

Started well, outdragged everyoone into T1, then couldn't quite match the pace of the chasing hounds

I had done some practice for this, and was looking forward to it. But, I had practiced on a different system
with a different wheel. Felt ok in qual, but in the race I kept turning early or late, and had a few offs
the final one killed the engine though it looked ok in XD, dam thing would not start. I tried to roll off track
aas far as I could, but ended up quitting as I was something of a hazard  hang

Every time that someone joined the server my car would freeze for 2 secs, but the game kept rolling, so I would lose approx. 2 secs for each person who joined??. Obviously this was not during the race and only impacted my practice and quali runs, but did anyone else have similar issues??? or is there something amiss with my install?
Same story here! a bit strange...  I also noticed that it took a long time to load each player when I joined, not sure if there is any link.

Apart from that it was one more good racing evening!
Not that I spent too much time fighting with anybody, but at least I was able to run consistently throughout the race. My pace was not quite fast enough to keep company to Roger, not to mention the aliens, but not that far off either.
I was afraid that the tyre wear would make my life miserable at the end of the race, but it was not so bad finally. Also the race being only 22 laps did help Grin (I was prepared for a 25 laps race)
Very good to see more people joining these races, it became rare to have 10+ drivers grids.  Smiley
And that will add some company for Geoffers & Erling as well...  Wink
