Ah I get it now Ginst. Don't really know what happened in race though, quali I had radiator at 2 which wasn't enough, upped it for race to 3, which was ok. I checked temps, but both were on 85 when the smoking in race started, hehe. I slowed down when I noticed it though afraid the car wasn't gonna make another lap and had seen Jon was about to lap me anyways, weeeeeeeeeee! So I managed a nice finish Any1 know if the Vette is less reliable than the Bi_T for instance? Never had problems with that 1 before!? And since I'm planning on doing Enduro with the Vette, lol, I'd like to know now . So I can praccy another car! T P.S. JonM=366MAN! loool!

If I am placed in front of Jan, can he be put in front of me? Sorry for hairpin punt but I did let you back through, but not sure if you got the place.
There isn't really any way to do that without a lot of artificial buggering around. The relevant rule is: Competitors will be classified according to the following criteria, in order: - Highest number of laps complete
- Fastest race time; competitors marked as having retired are classified behind those given a race time
- Fastest qualifying time
Since you both completed 26 laps, neither of you were given a race time, and you qualified with a faster time, you get classified ahead.

Never want to do that track again . Kept going despite 3 ridiculous slow speed spins(noticed once I span at 15mph ). Then told race had finished only to get DNF. A waste of bloody time. ps..I think SBG should be given the 10th or 11th place, the moderators can decide. I think its unfair if the game told him it was the last lap and so he didnt continue. Otherwise he wasted an hour racing.
He'd only get 1 or 2 places back anyway. I am a bit puzzled as to why GTR would tell him the race was over and then DNF him - had the leader taken the flag at that point or not? One for the replay I guess. Not sure there's a lot we can sensibly do about it although if the replay clearly shows him finishing the 26th lap ahead of Jam and it's GTR's mistake that caused him to stop then I will entertain changing the results.

Dave, its not worth your time. I'm fine with things as they are, and Jan may get ahead of me yet anyways . Twas puzzling though. Never had that before and was pretty sure Jon was finished when I pitted. I will complete lap, then pit, next time. However lets move on, and the sooner I forget Donni the better. And congrats to Jon, Greg and Paul

Hi Guys, Nice race ,had a lot of fun,the last lap was great behind that smoking car and SBG closing fast. Ran out of fuel just before start/finish,and that was it cause there was a full lap to go.Strange bug SBG,bad luck, and as for the place i think the rules are clear i have no problem with that. All the guys who dislike Doni and are dying to drive a highspeed flowing circuit go and download Road America 1.6 : http://www.xs4all.nl/~blomsan/ Setups by Neel Jani are online. Jan

I seem to remember seeing this problem (race ended message too early) before, and it may well have been at Donington. Perhaps its related to the way the track after the melbourne loop runs very close behind the start/finish line?

Was ok race, happy to finish 4th but a few occassions I could easily have been taken out. Imo I saw some over ambitious driving, a quater of the car on the grass is not faster. Although some turns I was being plain beaten by a few meters!! There was no more than 0.5 seconds between the top ten, if it's that close I don't see how even considering making a pass is an option unless willing to do a bit of side by side action for a few turns which slows both parties down. Wait, learn and enjoy.. Nice stats there btw Ruskus.

Hehe, love the lap by lap chart...everyone's line looks like a roller-coaster ride, except JonM who 'flatlines' it, with his incredibly smooth straight line from start to finish ! Greg appears to be the 2nd most consistent man on there....kudos gents.

I had this round Brno GT sprint game told me the race had finished so I crossed the line and hit esc only to find out there was 11 minutes left and finished 5 laps down

I also found this was hard work. I had practiced with soft fronts but wimped out at the last minute to avoid melting the front left tyre. This made it much harder to feel what the car was going to do, so I never felt able to really push hard.
After pinching 3rd in qual the race started OK, behind a rather tentative TrueTom. He made a mistake at macleans which gave me 2nd, but I wasn't able to stretch away. A lap or two later I went a bit deep at the esses and Tom got sucked in too, rear ending me. Luckily I managed to rejoin having only lost a couple of places. The next 10 or so laps were spent following Ruskus, who was glued to Greg's exhaust. I couldn't go any faster but I got the impression they both could if they were not fighting each other. Greg was being ultra cool under pressure and Ruskus was being equally patient looking for a chance - great driving from both. It ended in tears when Ruskas got a bit too close at the loop and spun it trying to avoid Greg's bumper. The rest of the race was just trying to be consistent as my tyres went off, and luckily I held on for third ahead of Rich, who had been plugging away behind for many laps.
Congrats to Jon on the win and Greg for a superbly consistent drive to 2nd.
Paul

Right, Paul, my mistake. Hope it didn't cost you too dearly. Was afraid to brake earlier as there was 20 cars right behind me. Either carnage or losing places. Anyway, after I read posts about expected quali times 1.25 I went for some training as I had so far come to high 1.27. Managed to tweak last seasons setup to go under 1.27 and managed to do that in quali also. Thought quali times are gonna be much faster. Was scared sh tless if I'm to be 1st. Why? No tested race setup. At all. Good move at the of quali session, Jon. He's a Penguin, did you know? For race I just put on meds and fuel. Not surprisingly FL tyre temp reached 120 in first lap, others close by. Was sliding all over, losing places. Did a risky move on Shark before the first hairpin. Was thinking if I continue like this I will put ppl out. Calmed down on 6th place. Then Zacari went off and I smelled the blood again, overdriving, melted tyres, spinned, quit. Was totaly possible 2nd place after quicky Jon - like in GT S2, remember? Just a bit more time to test race setup. As there's no more Donington GT there's only NGT S3 left. Grats Jon! TT

I thought It was gonna be quicker too TT. But in the end about 0.5 slower in Qual and race. Had a bit of praccy too, just couldn't get the times down, though the tyres seem to hold up way better than last season. Prolly 'cus you weren't right up my you know what Think you'd have beaten me if you drove with S2 pace TT. Just glad to have won in the end but still seems like a mountain(gora ) to climb to catch Greg. 55 point and 4 races, gonna need a bit of luck but the boy's looking super smooth at the moment
