think the only drivers i dont have car choices for are  Jeff, Picnic and ibsolnyer. Not sure if they intend to race.  Undecided

But as we arent bursting at the seams with drivers, i dont think we need a drivers file. Can we have 2 Brabhams and 2 Williams(or Ferraris - Fabri can confirm) for now. Rest can be one of each until we know further.

I've added a Brabham, a Ferrari, a Tyrrell, a Williams, a McLaren and a Lotus. That fills all the pit boxes.

I'll try and join in later in the season when I can actually sit in front of the computer and operate the pedals. Until then there's no point in me selecting a car.

Here's a link to as many cars as I could fit onto Dropbox

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xzxdeokrgya2o5a/AADbEO2X4NBrlepoUPBDxu7Ra?dl=0

It's upto you whether you backup the original sounds files or not - I have, but these all work fine here so you shouldn't really need to.
There are cars missing due to my running out of space - I'm trying to clear some to get more but it won't be for a while - in the mean time I'm sure you can figure out how to do this yourselves from the files I've uploaded.

Obviously you don't want to replace the Ferrari or BRM sounds Cheesy

Hey guys !

I tested the cars a bit (setting only the gearboxes a little) on my usual testing track, Barcelona moto layout.

I can go with the Surtees TS16 if it's ok. I love its "Natural orgasms" flank advertising. No, sorry, it's "National organs".  Grin Anyway.

Tyrrell P34 : Nice for her exotism, but a weird feeling of understeering (potentially well represented). This car didn't take part in 75, so I guess it would be better not to pick her. Also I suppose that AC graphic and physic engines can't properly handle such a 6 wheels car : if you block the front wheels, only 2 will do. Probably the other 2 aren't even braking.

Ferrari 312T : Looks like the default setting is terrible in my hands. Can't get her in her supposed pace like that. A tad oversteering at entry, definitely understeering at exit. And not so stable while braking.

Lotus 72E : Delightful. Probably a large room for improvements, but quite efficient yet. And that sound..

March 751 : Nice, quite well balanced.

McLaren M23 : Nice, quite well balanced. Efficient.

Surtees TS16 : Very gentle, well balanced, maybe the worst weight/power ratio, but like her.

I may have tested other ones, but can't remember well..  Undecided

Me and Barone will switch to Ferrari, if possible.

Hey !
So is the 1st race still sheduled to Wed 20th or do we wait for more drivers ?

Are there some race related sub-topics somewhere or are we supposed to discuss the events  in this place ?

Oops you are looking in the wrong thread Ibn, this is the series discussion but there will always be a race thread for each event. See here:-

Hi !

I received an invite from Fabrizio for this series.

Can I join with the McLaren ?

Probably won't be able to race tomorrow as I have very little time to prepare and don't know the track at all ..

Hi everyone,
I was also invited by Fabri. I'll test out the cars and track later today, but chances are I won't make the race tonight.
I'll probably stick around though!
Thanks for hosting this championship and thanks to Fabri for the invitation Smiley

Welcome Olius and Cerebral  Smiley Always good to see new enthusiasts joining the racing  thumbup1

You are both welcome to race tonight but understand you may feel like you havent had enough practise, but it could give you some seat time and familiarity with the mod and other drivers, if you can.  Smiley

@Cerebral, yes you can have a Mclaren. There is one already taken but you are welcome to the other team car. Wink

Page 1 of this thread has all the relevant information and mod links for the season and there is a race thread for Round 1 in the 'UKAC Races' section of the forum.
