We now have an update to this mod  Smiley

Version 1.2

Changelog:

General Physics tweaks for further improved FFB; Updated Sounds (credits to 386)
Overhauled physics for McLaren M23
Added Tyrrell P34 Bonus Car
Added LOD's for all cars

The previous update (which wecurrently use) was over a year ago so personally I think it is worth updating to this one before we start a championship.

Not me. I am convinced that two wheels are all you need to have fun!  Smiley   So for simracing I draw the line at 4 max.

The latest version of the F1 75 mod is here (Courtesy of Goldtop)  Smiley

I would suggest you all install it in anticipation of the new series and I am also hoping to run a test race tomorrow night if Picnic can install it in time on the server.  Smiley

in case people didnt notice, if you go back to page 4 of this thread, most track links have been populated now, still a few to do.

But unless i get people's car choices then we cannot get a drivers entry file together and test it before the first race.

You need all links and driver lists populated in the first post Mark.
Drivers who get that far won't bother going further if they're expected to wade through a thread to find stuff!

Also, your Google skills are terrible - it was about the 6th link for me  Tongue

I'm currently downloading and can't wait to try the insanity of the Tyrrell  Cool

It looks like most of the cars should have the same physics still, so that at least should mean all previous tests are still relevant.
I need to try a few more cars tonight - although I'm leaning towards the Hesketh as Hunt was 'exuberant' in driving style and always had his shepherd with him when he raced. I fit both criteria  Wink

That said the Tyrrell is a tad unhinged and I fit that bill too....

Ferrari is definitely fast.
I tried it last night at Zandy, I had spent a good hour or more on the Hesketh setup from the last fun race. I spent 10 mins on the Ferrari and went .1 faster within 5 laps on the same tires and fuel load.

It needs to be driven in a particular manner to go fast though, kind of like the Brabham does.
With time spent on the setup it should be very fast, as per real life.

If Ferrari is so fast is not so good. I had choise Williams because it is medium performaces car.

First post updated with all the latest information. Advert posted on Kunos site. Still missing half the grids car choice  hammer
Let anybody know that might want to race this series. What about the other Italians that used to race here? Matteo etc.  Undecided
we only have 14 runners so far and of them i doubt Jeffs going to show as not heard a peep from him and Picnic might only be a part time racer along with one or two others, so we could do with a few more drivers to fill out the grid.

Surprised nobody has snapped up a Ferrari. I would have been tempted but the engine note gives me a headache in the Rift. Doesnt sound as good as it should.

I was hoping to run a test race this eve using the latest mod update, but cant get hold of Pete so unless SRW can upload the latest mod to the server we are stumped.

we even have the potential to run a couple of extra races if we feel we havent had our fill  walkman :-

Non-championship races results
Other Formula One races were also held in 1975, which did not count towards the World Championship.

Race Name                           Circuit
United Kingdom X Race of Champions   - Brands Hatch
United Kingdom XXVII - BRDC International Trophy - Silverstone
France XV - Swiss Grand Prix - Dijon-Prenois

okay no problem SRW. Pete is also unable to upload it so i'm afraid we are without a race this evening.  Sad
Is Max around to host an impromptu test race session with his spare rig? (would need the new 1.2 update installed).

I may also have found Buenos Aires for AC so the calendar may yet revert to that for round 1 once i have tested it. Though if someone is home kicking their heels you are welcome to give it a run:-

Will put this to your votes, but there is a Nordschleiffe 65 track available (made by the renowned Rainmaker). Should we use this for atmosphere or stick to the modern Kunos version?

Can you put a link up?
I have a classic Nordschlief (67 I think it's called) and don't rate it Vs the kunos track.
It's just a converted GPL track with a few 3d bits thrown in and very poor track mesh.

If it's the same one then as I said earlier in this thread I really don't recommend it
