Hey Mark, I tried this Monaco version yesterday evening and didn't notice the same problem but unfortunately the track cut checking is absurdly forgiving at Sainte Devote, New Chicane (harbour) and Swimming Pool chicane.  Undecided Cry

I know the drivers here are well minded but those cuts still can occur from times to times and this situation would lead to inapropriate racing, particularly in qualif flying laps.. Or is there another overlapping cutting track checking while on the server ?

I cant do much about track designers lack of cut warnings, but we are a fairly self regulating honest bunch on here. Some guys watch the replays and pretty sure they would point out anyone taking excessive liberties, likewise during the race or qually, if you spot someone cutting then its fair game to point them out to me via pm for a replay review.  detective
I never really mind the odd cut if done in the heat of battle as its not always avoidable, but if someone was seen to do it lap after lap then its a different matter, likewise if someone gained a position advantage from say, cutting a chicane, then i expect them to give that place back.

Agreed on all points.

@ FMG, did you ever get around to testing that mod old version of the Nordschleiffe ? Remember you saying you were going to revisit it and test it.
I might re-download it and give it a try out before it becomes next round on the calendar

Will we go to Anderstorp or not ?

@Mark : A AC friend of mine told me that it was a great track (Nord '67 I mean).

Can't remember if I've tried the update yet or not, will try to tomorrow or over the weekend.
Although unless it's amazing my preference would probably be for the modern version just because it's point scanned and ridiculously realistic.
Will let you know as soon as possible...

i agree, which is why i was reasonably content to use the stock modern version but i think the old version is worth checking out as could add to the nostalgia for the vintage race.

So did you guys install those shader files ? They say the track could just crash without them..

those comments appear to refer to a version 0.9 that was the last loaded version on RD. We have version 1.0  Smiley so hopefully all fine.
