Maybe Clive and Ziu just got unlucky with the GPL gods and the random failure demons which did seem harsh.

I certainly thought it was a bit harsh!  Especially after I had taken the trouble to arrange the gear ratios so that I could change up to 6th at the bump on the straight and avoid the high revs that happened if I just went over it without a lift.

I didn't realise that both you and Ziu were in lady's cars but the run down to the first corner had shown me that I had the legs on both of you.  I hadn't done a great lap in qually but I knew that I had the lap times to take the battle to the pair of you when it mattered.

So I was feeling quite comfortable with my first couple of laps, until the engine broke.  Especially as Evil had already put it into the wall once!  It was all looking good for a titanic battle as there was no way that either of the cars in front of me could have stopped my passing them on the straight.  And then it would have been time to get the elbows out and be very wide. devil  Buggerit!

Yes Clive, I clearly remember that early contact with the wall, because I thought I had screwed my race right there!!

I suspect that my neighbours were aware that something was amiss in our household too...…my wife, who was downstairs watching TV, informs me that there might have been a few angry words uttered at inappropriate volume  Roll Eyes cursing

I'm curious now, and when did you dream all this?

Probably at the same time that you imagined that you were going to fend off Evil until the chequered flag.   Roll Eyes

Well, the only evil against me was the engine of my Ferrari

Just had a look at the replay. Sorry for the contact on lap 1 Axel, it ruined your race. I had to move right to avoid hitting David who was stuck in the fence.
