Sorry for the password etc. I was delayed at work, and then sat in daft traffic so didn't get back in time
to change the password.

Only one more of these to go  Roll Eyes Then I have to work out whether it's worth doing some more series or not
(probably is) but then what people want is always a challenge. I like these though I can't drive them well
but they haven't had much lurve so not likely to run them again.

The DTM92 and Touring Classics seem to be well liked. I thought the Capri was a good choice.
These current series will wrap up before Chistmas. I may run a couple of test races early Jan
but I need all the input I can get, so please help. These Group C cars had a lot of interest from some
who have never actually joined any races once the series started, so tough to plan for.

AC gets some interest, but even that doesn't get big grids, what are the rest of the world running?
I like R3E for league racing, but I don't care too much what we use.

Happy Birthday to Riccardo  thumbup2 thumbup2 thumbup2

thanks for the good wishes, these machines of group C I like very much only that we are too few, so better to use machines that many like, let's do a survey

Well Frex & I will generally turn up for anything that's put in front of us if we are able & Riccardo & Alessandro race most things, so it is really a case of what will tempt some of the others out every week.  Huh

or, put a note here if I have missed your choice.

Yeah, what Geoff said - I'm happy to run anything really, and I can't recall any RRE races that I would have refused to take part in. Even these tricky Group C cars are ok, just that I think they would be better suited to longer races on hard tyres, not quick dashes on softs as they were never intended for that.

Some other thoughts:

Group 5 has had a re-balance since we last tried them to try and bring the cars a bit closer together. The Capri is nice, but would be nice to try the other cars too. Fabcar (and Capri) still probably faster than the others, but not by quite so much.

Formula Junior has had a physics overhaul since we last tried it.

GT3 about to have a major physics overhaul, probably before the end of the year. DTM 92 and Touring Classics too, hopefully soon afterwards.

Procar Group 4 version still in the pipeline and hopefully not far away. Still hoping for a Procar vs Porsche 934 series someday.

I really liked the WTCR and GT4 races we did, even though they didn't seem too popular

964 Carrera Cup is the best car in the game  angel

It's about time we raced the NSUs again  Grin

All just my non-worthy opinion of course!

Thanks Frex, This is exactly what I need.  thumbup1

If my memory serves, you were the only person on the planet who could drive the 934?  Roll Eyes
It wanted to swap ends into corners, over crests, pretty well everywhere, Sounds like a good
mix though,if you can't drive the 934 you can drive the procar. Are they anything like matched?
or are you meaning the updates when and if they happen?

I have been snooping around to see what the rest of the world are up to, and there are a couple
of popular sites who run modded events for AC and Rfactor/2 SO, I am playing with some of the
Rf and Rf2 mods to see if there is any mileage there. Do people have Rf/2? any interest there?

The 934 has been tamed (a bit) since it's first release, but yes it does still need careful management of the weight transfer to stop the rear braking loose. It is NOT matched to the current Procar, but there is a new Group 4 Procar that it will be hopefully closely matched to. That one is not out yet though, but rumours are it isn't too far away and then we can race them together, if there's interest. Other Group 4 cars are also apparently planned in the future.

EDIT: Oh, and no, I don't have RF/RF2.

Ok, Thanks for that. I just did a few laps with minor setup changes at Dubai GP, and I was 10 secs faster in the Procar than the 934
The fact that I could do a few laps and stay on track with the 934 is positive, but it, the 964, and the Procar all feel like they are
not on the ground, they move around like a boat to me. Stiffer setup would help I expect. Though I do love the Procar, if only for the sound  Grin

Just one or two thoughts from me, although my ideas haven't been too popular in the past, so don't take them too seriously.

As I said before I'm happy to drive pretty much anything. Don't really get on with anything Porka 911 based although I did quite enjoy the 964 once I had sorted a decent setup for it.

I missed previous series with the NSU so wouldn't mind giving that a go.

How about running the 92DTM with just the M3 & 190, quite evenly matched & fairly easy to drive.

GTO on their own sounds good, not driven any of them yet.

Finally but not strictly classic, has anyone tried the the one make series, Audi TT & BMW M135i, haven't personally but could be fun.

Not got or tried RF/RF2, I do have AC but need a newer PC to run it successfully, I can run it but car reacts so slowly it makes it very difficult to drive.

I don't care too much what we run, if it's something that enough people want.
The Thursday races are "sort of" supposed to be somewhat "retro" and were originally intended to replace
the P&G series with something vaguely similar but a more modern sim. So I normally lean towards historic
as much as possible. I liked the Group4 series, but it was not well supported for example.
I Like the 92 Beemer and Merc idea, however some people like to run the Mustang.....some like the  Fabcar....

There is a poll at the top of this thread.

Could do Riccardo. If enough people want it, we can do it.

However modern GT cars are "traditionally" the Sunday thing. Thursdays is more about
older, more historic cars from the 60's 70's 80's 90's sort of thing. Any suggestions are most welcome, but
Please can anyone with any interest vote for what is on offer as a guide? otherwise I have little to go off.

Many Thanks
Matt.

I think Dubai is a new track on RRE and I'm not sure how many would want to buy it just for one race.
