Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1190s

[RSms]Andy is chasing FlyBri and as they approach turn 5 Andy moves to the inside under braking to take the low line through the banked corner. Andy carries slightly too much speed, almost holds it but then drifts out into the side of FlyBri sending him over the banking and into the gravel.

Server replay time: 1230s

Pedro is following Jamera for several laps looking for a way past. As they approach Gislaved Pedro leaves his braking late and almost rear ends Jamera, but manages to avoid contact by diving to the inside. As Jamera turns in Pedro cannot slow enough and catches the rear corner of Jamera's car spinning him out.

  • Pedro[PL]penalty — contact with Jamera — 2 places lost

Good race, nearly taken out in T2 lap by [RSms]Andy ..  Tongue Shame, Emmo went flyin off one of cambered turns. Was a could have been I think but Claus's pace was first class. Tried some asymmetrical setting up of car i.e stronger front inside spring to make it hotter. Not sure if it works, FL was about 68 - 78 .. but makes balance crazy and tricky to re-balance it with the dampers !!

My favourite race in the series so far!

Have to admit - I had a great time out there!
Was swapping positions with Whitham and Rob for a lot of the race until I went off one too many times and Rob drove off into the distance.
My apologies to Don for locking up in trying to slow to let him lap me and after the race for shaving his paintwork when I spun at high speed on the main straight and flew off out of control onto the other part of the track! Watched the replay and saw there was a second there when you might have thought about ramming  laugh laugh

Amazing pace up front all, it'll be a while before I can maych that but sure maybe when GTR2 comes out we can start on a level playing field!  Undecided

Great race and i dont even like Anderstorp  angel

Had good qually battle, setting numerous PB's only to keep moving down the grid and qualied 9th behind Pops, who managed to pip me each time i went faster Roll Eyes

Race started strong with Greg and Pops just in front of me and Flybri right behind. Gradually dropped Fly as i stayed glued to Pops rear bumper for about 15 minutes until he made a slight error and got two wheels on the grass verge. I then steamed after Greg reeling him in after about another 10 mins of hard racing, whilst Pops fought off Flybri.
Once past Greg, i pulled out a 6 second lead and saw Mo's car off the banked curve, finding myself in 4th place with a 7 second lead over Mo and only about 6-7 mins remaining.
But then got caught up with some backmarkers and most pulled nicely out the way, so thanks for that chaps, but two guys had dramas of their own in front of me and i had to back off or take avoiding action in a couple of instances allowing Mo to close up to a 2-sec gap and my already worn tyres to give up the ghost :'(
On the next lap around, i braked into the last corner as i had done all race but the car just sledged into the gravel trap Sad.
As i rejoined ponderously, Mo, Greg and Pops did a formation split as they all screamed past relegating me from 4th to 7th place :'(
I tried to recatch them but my tyres were gone and all i could do was drive defensively as a fast approaching Emmo Plate caught me on the last lap. We had a photo finish as he almost got me on the line. Tongue

Great clean racing from start to finish, really enjoyed it.  Cool Just wish i had got the points my pace deserved  Sad

Crap! Didn't realise your race wasn't over Don!  Shocked Being last usually affords me a little dramatic spin after crossing the line but I'll "Kerb" that in future.
Last thing I want is to ruin someones last lap.

Cheers for letting me know though.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Is that why the server marked you as disqualified then? Where did you really finish?

To be honest Dave, I don't know - I'll check my replay tonight.
(though I'm pretty sure it was outside the points anyway  lol )

Your line colour and Rich's look almost identical. So I could be mistaken and that you were indeed in 2nd place Grin
