Is there any news from E3 or anywhere about WTCC game?

I think we're all assuming it's going to be GTR2 with Touring Cars and the obvious championship and track changes. Would love it to be this 06 season as there is a round at Brands Hatch, which I would love to see modelled by a proper track maker like Blimey/Simbin.

Other than Simbin buying the rights, we don't seem to have any information on this game. No developer, no details, no car list, track list, season list, nothing. Very dissapointing not to hear anything about it.

Och well, as the jedi say..."patience young padowan".

Blimey! still has a game with a codename on their website so maybe they will be the developer of this game.

I think we won't hear anything from it until after the release of GTR2 Smiley

What worries me more is that they are talking about a new gaem, while their current game needs polishing, and their new game still needs to be released. They should have fixed GTL to win confidence, then release GTR2 and a while after that tell that they are working on a WTCC game.

There is no information to indicate Blimey! are developing WTCC. I hope they will be given it to do once GTR2 is out the way.

They aren't really "talking about" WTCC. As Shark says, there's bugger all info. on it other than the license being aquired.

I think the nature of software development these days is that games take so long to produce you have to start the next project before the current one is complete.

Once they manage their staff properly there is no problem with them developing both games at once. For the most part GTR2 is done apart from ironing out the creases. Alot of the people who may have been responsible for various areas of the game are probably relatively idle. If all the tracks and graphics of GTR 2 are done the art department can get to work on the tracks and cars for WTCC. I don;t know how big Simbin are, but even small companies can have multiple projects on the go with proper management.
