Season 35 Sport Cars Extra Cup – Round 9 – Reims

The 8th round of the Season 35 SCx will be in France at Reims. Reims-Gueux was first established in 1926 on the public roads between the small French villages of Thillois and Gueux. The circuit had two very long straights between the towns, and teams strove to maximize straight-line speed of their cars; many slipstream battles ensued. Race organizers actually felled trees and demolished old houses in order to make the circuit even quicker. International racing came with the first official Formula One event occurring in 1950, the inaugural year of the Formula One world championship. The circuit layout was shortened and changed in 1952 to bypass the town.

The Sports Cars Extra mod is new for UKGPL this season.
Please check the Season 35 pages for details regarding rules and the Sports Cars Extra pages in particular.
Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score points.

Each driver must select two cars at the start of his season.
The choices must be declared in the race post for the first round you compete in.
- Professional drivers, the combined ranking points for the cars should amount to at least 6 points.
- Amateur drivers, the combined ranking points for the cars should amount to at least 5 points.
The car with the higher rank points must be used at least as many times as the car with the lower rank points.

No luck with the Porsche again Wink
boring as expected, but finished, the race and the season
3 times Lola and 3 times Porsche, maybe I misunderstood the rules. That doesn‘t matter if I do. This Mod is only ok for me with long distance driving, with a must pit stop and more than 18 on the grid Wink
Wish you all a nice last final.

I'm sorry I haven't posted much. I've grown much more unhappy over the last few years. It's made me what to chat less.

There's not much to say about these races. The dominant car dominated. That says almost everything.

The 2F appears unbeatable. I couldn't get the Mark IV to go as fast at LeMans and I have doubts even the Porsche could beat it at Targa Florio.

I think Clive got me well motivated. I set the pole time with him behind me. I was trying to give him a good tow to see if I could move him up in qualifying. Had I run a 1:59 instead of 1:58, the tow may have moved him to P2.

It was a shame to see the others quickly having problems after I passed them, especially the two Ferraris I saw collide.

Thanks for the fun guys.

You know that some people are different
Now ain't that a crying shame
Now wouldn't it be a real drag if we were all the same
