Hi gents, back from vacation, won't be putting up much of a fight, embarrassingly never been too familiar with the circuit and zero practice, no setup...Just shacking off some rust today.

Great race guys, I had a ton of fun. Alberto you got the job done congrats.

I had no practice until 40min out or so....some new gear, new usb hub so I had some technical difficulties but it feels like I have the most funwhen races are spontaneous, when I don't spend 2 hours practicing, when you just show up and race Wink

So I nail the start and pass Alberto and Max, only for them to blow by me on the straights with my American V8 power as if I was strolling along in a Fiesta...hmmmm I think in the end it came down to me having way too much fuel onboard and a little too much wing...So I drive along and Max spins his Ferrari, I take 2nd place and start hunting down Alberto who is appearing to be struggling with his rear tyres, pit window is counting down fast, we wait till the very end to pit, all three of us up front that is. So I pass Alberto in the Porsche Curves I think? I'm happy, I got a big smile on my face being confident that I have the car to take the win. So now its time to pit and we got a problem, I have no fecking clue where the pits are Sad so I take the service road only to see the wall, Alberto is in the pits already, I cut across the grass and almost take Max out on the way to the pits. I pit, and it takes forever as I take on too much fuel...I come out 3rd not too far behind Max, but that is all she wrote...I get emotional and keep making mistakes, only to put in a PB...only to make a mistake again, another PB, another mistake, another PB, meh I give up.

Great race guys.

Crap race for me, just didn’t get enough practise in. I ran a low wing setup to try and keep up with the front 4 but it meant the car was awful in the twisty sector 1 and dangerous once the tyres wore down in the Porsche curves.
Enjoyed the first 15mins or so chasing Simon for 4th but then the car span at Arnage corner and I lost 14secs.  Sad Then not much happened after that.  After a 4th spin/off for seemingly nothing under braking I quit as my eyes were being murdered in the rift as well. There was only 7mins left but could tell the car wasn’t finished with falling off. The grip seemed non existent in some corners even on softs  Huh

Grin A great race for me with no mistakes, everything going sweet up to pit stop, second part of race had pb after pb almost getting into the 04's and was in pos 5. Out of fuel one lap to go, came into pits but was so gutted left the server. All through practice my fuel calcs were good giving me two 35 minute stints. A good race spoiled, maybe a reserve tank is in order for me or back to school for basic maths! Thanks SRW for this series, had fun. Oops forgot about Road America.

Eh,not a bad result considering I expected to turn up and get eaten down the straights by a pack of hungry porsche and corvettes  Shocked

I made a horrible start,  the car just bogged and I had to dip the clutch to bring the revs back up, so lost 2 places by T1, lucky a couple of nice tows got me back to P2 by the end of the lap, and then it was just me trying to hang on to Alberto.  It was going ok until the end of lap 3, I overcooked it into the last chicane and span off, letting Alex through  Hit with a wet fish

After that I couldn't catch the lead 2 up again,  until some comedy action at the pitstop when I managed to regain 2nd (thanks Alex!). I fully expected to get caught and passed again, as my tyres were so gone the last few laps and I was just trying to keep it super smooth and not upset them anymore, so to finish right behind Alberto in 2nd was more than good for me...

I ran a low wing setup to try and keep up with the front 4 but it meant the car was awful in the twisty sector 1 and dangerous once the tyres wore down in the Porsche curves.
0/2 here for wing,  I tried 0/1 but the car became so unstable it was too hard to keep on track at a decent pace.   Soft tyres were great early in the race, at about mid race they started to fade and with 3/4 laps to go they were in red treadwear and gone.  The vette is a bit harder on its rears though with all that torque, so yeh, no surprise you struggled  Wink

Even if the Porsche power here is really making the difference I suffered a lot with Max and Alex before taking the win ... maybe my setup was too much conservative (5 rear wing), anyway I was not so quicker as I should at Lemans ... at the end got the 1st place with just one or two secs on Max...
I lived also some panic moment at the pit just behind Alex going towards the wall ... Huh
By the way congrats to Max&Alex for the nice race!

See you for the last race of this very nice champ!!
