Season 35 – 1967 F1 – Round 10 – Silverstone

The tenth and final race in the 1967 F1 series finds us at Silverstone in England. Silverstone is built on the site of a World War II bomber base, RAF Silverstone, which opened in 1943. The track hosted the first F1 championship race in 1950. The British Grand Prix has been permanently held here since 1987. The airfield's three runways, in classic WWII triangle format, lie within the outline of the present track. The first two races were held on the runways themselves, with the 1949 International Trophy switching to the perimeter track. This arrangement was used for the 1950 and 1951 Grands Prix. In 1952 the start line was moved from the Farm Straight to the present Finish Straight, and this layout remained largely unaltered for the following 35 years. Since 1975 the track has been modified with the introduction of chicanes etc – we will be using the 1960’s layout.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Please read the championship specific rules on the championship standings page.

Grats to JonnyO on the race win and the Works championship and to Andreas for the Privateers championship.

This has been a very hard fought but fair seasons racing. We should be having a few fun races over the holiday season before we start Season 36 on 19th January 2020. Keep checking the UKGPL Homepage for registration details.

Race results and championship standing are subject to moderation - please submit any incident reports in the next couple of day if possible.

  Thanks guys!

it was a dramatic finale, a lot happened in the first 10 laps of the race. In qualy what was an incredible fight for second place, Tim was unreachable, was at another level of speed.
But during the race Tim had some errors, these were fatal to the score, but it is a great admiration for the current speed of Tim, very strong !!!!!
In the race after the 10th lap I found myself leading the race unexpectedly, so I had to keep up the pace, I got a very good regularity, I think my unevenness was no more than 0.3s on average, so maybe that was the main factor to win yesterday.
The championship was fantastic, an exciting final, thanks to the organizers for all the work, it's great to race here in such a traditional league, winning a championship here is very important to me, I feel accomplished, thank you very much!

Well done yo Jonny & Andrea's for the Work & Privateer champs, subject to final moderation of course.
A good track to race on with just one retirement.
I think my car must have been on an ideal spot on the start grid to see the flag man so I made up a few places before the first corner. It was quite competitive at the back of the grid & I had to work  the Brabham extra hard to keep on terms. The latter part if the race was about managing the procession of cars that were lapping me & trying to make up ground on Pepe.
Looking forward to next season.

Congrats Jonny! Excellent job! I'm glad you and I were able to keep Tim from an easy championship with his bad luck and mistakes.

I was having a lot of fun until I caught Andreas late in the race. I was gaining on Jonny and Tristan was having more difficulty catching me. Once I went off the racing line to lap Andreas, I over heated my tires and had to give Tristan P2 before I wrecked both of us.

I'm very disappointed that I had such an anticlimactic end to the season. Sad

Sorry again that I was standing in the way. Had tried to make the rounding as easy as possible. Did not work out, I'm disappointed aswell...
