It was a night I would rather forget TBH. Pre race, GEM/IGOR got itself into a complete meltdown and eventually I had to launch GPL 66 by finding the dedicated .exe file. When I eventually got GPL going I had the wrong driver profile and therefore no setups available.

The 10 mins of practice that I had was spent cobbling a working setup together, which was far from perfect. I was content to start near the back of the grid and "feel" my way into the race.
That all went wrong too as I was clipped by another car on the way down to T1 and bounced off the fence. The steering was not quite the same afterwards and the car wanted to go slightly left at all times. I This problem put me into the scenery a couple of times on the first lap and it was not long before I was dead last and quite a distance behind. Somewhere in the whole debacle I was behind Clive Loynes 3 ltr LotusBRM which travelling more carefully and slowly than I wished to proceed. TBH I was driving in a red mist and was not being careful enough when Clive braked his behemoth earlier than I anticipated. Fortunately he was able to continue, but the incident further compromised my steering and that was to finish my race a little later.
With a clear track ahead I was able to focus on staying on the tarmac and eventually caught Billy/Tago and Fran. They were intent on their own battle and I had no right to expect a free pass. Billy got a little out of shape and I slipped through...a short while later Tago was slow out of a corner and I took that chance. I caught Fran as we reached the long straight and with the slipstream I was able to attempt a pass. But the wayward steering dragged me into the bushes and screwed that attempt. Eventually I caught Fran again and passed him but it was not to last and I ran out of luck when I hit a bank and rolled the car.

I did see some weird things on Prib during my short race. Cars were shown only a few hundred metres ahead...then up to 2 km ahead and then it appeared that they were behind ??!! I saw David's car shown as being behind me by about 0.5km just before my race ended and I was going to slow down and try and get a finish, but then he jumped ahead again??  Not that it made any difference to the eventual outcome.

David..the final positions may not yet be decided. I think that you still must drop 2 results?  So everything rests on the final race?

Congrats Tristan, Andreas and finishers,
especially to you Tristan for managing that VERY close manoeuvre at Nordkurve first lap - what a breaking point!! - great speed at the first two laps and finishing on three wheels  thumbup1
That‘s a very special victory to me - shot me back into the past of 1966 when I saw that BT19 with Jack Brabham winning the German Grand Prix and I, as a John Surtees fan was so disappointed. I saw that races at the track area of Flugplatz saw the tragic accident of John Taylor, Jim Clark sliding in the dig on the right side after the first right-hander on the top and at the end of the race Ludovico Scarfiotti stopped his car after the bridge with technical probs (foto) - that was very impressive for an eleven years old boy - and formative as you can see Wink
THX for racing with you all, hope I find time to drive with you a full Season next year.
I‘m looking forward to your mod and track selection.

Sorry Clive but now my two worst results are 0 in Cadwell and 0 on Nurburg track !
so I really have an advantage of 60 points > a win (50 pts)

I would have preferred to compete until the last round ...

Shucks!! you are quite correct David  Undecided I only glanced quickly at the points table before posting my last message.

Congratulations on the overall series win, top of the combined Ams and Pros  I Am Not Worthy I Am Not Worthy

Although I am 2nd atm, there is a scenario where Andreas can steal 2nd spot  ( or possibly even Ziu, if both Andreas and myself fail to score!!)Shocked, so the last race will still be a challenge  Wink

I can't see Tago on the results?

And Fran went the full distance and finished one place behind me.

Tago is Oly9

If Fran wants to be reinstated, we need the time he crossed the line and the numbers of laps driven

Fran drove 6 laps and finished 5th the race, around 2 minutes after Clive Loynes (no real importance)
