When joining the grid, I found myself floating somewhere far below the track seemingly. Hoped it would right itself once the start went but it didn't. Ah well, only wasted 2-3 hours practicing for this..

Very frustrating Erling, I wondered why you did not appear on the grid. As for my race, I must learn to curb my enthusiasm in the early laps and focus on keeping things neat and tidy. Made a total mess of the first lap and at the start of the 2nd, over exuberance got my car stuck on a raised kerb with all wheels off the ground ... also frustrating!!!

Very frustrating for me too: Knew that me and the Porka would need 3 or four laps to find a rhythm but there were so many offs during that period that I completely lost motivation and concentration.

A tricky track for sure but I had spent many many laps testing various cars for this Championship so felt I had the feel for all the trouble spots. Very sorry for Erling. No-one wants to see all their valuable practice time get wiped out by a software glitch but it happens and there is nothing I can do to prevent it. If it's any consolation he hasn't had his car drive counted in the roster and the two lowest event scores are dropped at seasons end. After the early drop outs due to various incidents I was left chasing after Roguk in his similar Porsche. Slowly caught up to him and went for a pass which worked only to lose it again when I dropped into first gear at the Betonkehre and span the car around allowing Rog to slip past. Eventually caught and passed him again at the tight right hander before Sharfer Kopf and somehow managed to build up a lead over him. Only five cars left at this point with big gaps between all of us so just had to keep it steady until the finish line. Grats to Geoffers and Matt and well done all finishers.

Not the most slick track build we have seen but ok when you learn it... Managed a good launch and passed a couple of people. The Locust in front was asleep (Clive?) so went round the blockage, and so got a bit wobbly (again) but didn't hit anyone this time Sort of followed Geoff for a couple of laps, but he was pulling away at 2 secs per lap, so concentrated on not destroying any fences, and keeping Roger and then Tony behind. Gutted for Erling, sounds like you system loaded the wrong track? Ah well, I'm away for the next two Weds, I won't be getting in anyone's way....

Maybe, it was difficult to tell, but very weird - had no problems in offline practice, online practice and qual - except for the often seen glitch of the black tyre marks mostly disappearing in the latter (and presumably the race). Track was difficult because of the low contrast between track & track side, making it hard to see where it was going, so very unpleasant to have the black marks disappear in qual, as I depended heavily on them for guidance. Grats to Geoffers on what appears to have been another gimme, and to Matt & Tony for their podiums.

Indeed quite a tricky track, the ditches at the side of the first section made it quite hard to see where the edge of the track was. First tried the track over the Christmas break but had not driven it again until yesterday, it was like learning it again. I knew where the track went but had to relearn all the braking points & how fast to take each corner & was still improving all through the race. Shame Erling had a technical problem & my other nearest challengers in qually, Clive & Dan both went out early. Matt followed close for a couple of laps but then I managed to open a bit of a gap, entertained myself by trying to lap quicker than in qually which I eventually managed, just failing to get into the 2.57s. Although on lap 15 I was 0.3s up on my best at the first split but messed up the last downhill right kink, bouncing off the fence on both sides of the road, luckily keeping the car facing the right way. Congrats to Matt & Tony & well done to Rog & Bob making it to the finish.

Only time I have seen the effect that Erling describes is when you load a replay for a track that you don't have installed.

I think that's the only times I've seen it before too. Doesn't make any sense, when I had just completed qual on the same track. I tried jumping back & forth between garage & grid a few times, but the problem persisted. Will try to fire it up when I get home, to see if it still works, or if something has become corrupted.

When joining the grid, I found myself floating somewhere far below the track seemingly. Hoped it would right itself once the start went but it didn't
Same thing happened to me
2nd race at Portland at start my car was upside down in the woods no where near track had to disconnect.Server let me praccy and qualify but not race, Solution found it was the wrong car.
Grats to Geoffers on win
Grats to Podium

Thanks Roger, Still doesn't make any sense - I didn't change my car from praccy & qual, so should have worked in the race too. Checked with a quickrace offline yesterday and all was normal, so don't know what was wrong. Just hope it doesn't happen again.
