About the rules discussion: I reminded as to the cutting rules, and then Ruskus said it was two wheels on the curb. Ok, np, I don't think that's a discussion. Also, that was during a practice session, not quali. And it lasted for, what, 30 sec?

TT

Yeah, it was in practice while the timer said 00:00 and we were waiting to go to qually.

Hmmmm, I thought that was during qually that happened, hell may be I'm wrong, it was hot, I was tired so who knows

Anyway, great race everyone, really enjoyed that. Good battles with Nick Phillips and TT and well pleased to bring it home in 3rd  Grin

Nothing wrong with clarifying the rules in a practise session, sounds like there were some wires crossed and someone thought they were being disputed.

The correct procedure is brake-swear, not swear-brake.

I would also like to add, without wanting to cause an arguement, that given we had been off for three weeks, and the rules had changed in the meantime, it would be appreciated if admins confirmed the rules rather than telling people to be quiet.

I would be happy to state the rules before the race. But other people stated them before I even had the chance (practice 1 is not right for this, rather use warmup) so I didn't feel the need for it anymore.

As for telling people to be quiet, it wasn't meant like that. The rules were being discussed in the qualifying session which shouldn't be done anyway. Also this discussion has been in the forums since after the Imola test so why start it again? The rule for this is there since a few days before the Magny Cours endurance race, long enough to learn it imo Smiley

Do you also read what others say?
First of all it was during practice 2, because the last sentence you said was just after the next session loaded in qually.
Second, the rules were NOT discussed, only MENTIONED. Two completely different things. If somebody has doubts what the rules are, it's normal to tell what the rules are. Never during the session did we discuss whether the rules are correct or not.

The only reason the cut thing was brought up, was because somebody said: don't forget the cutting rule. Which might have caused people to doubt if they were up to date with the rules or not.

As a matter of fact I do.

A lot of things are being mentioned here and a discussion is never far away. One question was asked, two (different) answers were given. Usually this leads to a discussion. Better to stop it right away. If I'm wrong I apoligize.

Where during the session did I say you were discussing if the rules were right or not?

A lot of rules have been changed in the last few weeks. Reading the rules (as being mentioned in the race thread) would help. It sure would make my job an easier one Smiley

I only mentioned everything once, and the things mentioned were only things which are on this site as well. I stopped talking as soon as qually started.

"Where during the session did I say you were discussing if the rules were right or not?"

During practice you said: stop discussing this here. In that conext it means discussing if it's right or wrong. During pratcice we can talk, so only when it was an unnecessary discussion it was understandable to stop it. But there were no opinions involved, only stating the written rules.

I'm bored with this discussion now Tongue so I'm locking the thread before Anything Bad(tm) happens.
