The problem with the tyre barriers/columns was that after we knocked them out in practice, they were reset as objects when the sessions switched to Q and R, but without reloading visually, so we basically had invisible tyres at the apexes of corners, until we knocked them out again LOL
I could try to fix this by editing the track and removing those tyres altogether, because it was otherwise enjoyable and challenging to drive at.
As for the races, I was lucky to get both wins, with all the mistakes I made. Even though I started on pole in both events, the balance of the car seemed worse in the races, with the setups not working really well. The fear of hitting those invisible tyres affected my confidence and consistency as well, not to mention I did in fact hit them anyway, multiple times.
Daz was incredibly fast and consistent for most of R1, but he gradually started making mistakes near the end and that allowed me to catch up and win. He waited for me after my first mistake at the start of the race, so I tried to return the favor once I got back in front, but unfortunately he had more problems after that and dropped back. Paddler (Manfred?) was very fast too, we had a nice battle until he hit one of those invisible tyres and I couldn't avoid spinning him around, but he managed to recover up to 2nd at the end.
For race 2 I dropped to last place after misjudging T1, then managed to make my way through the field and capitalize on the mistakes of Daz and Geoffers, who opted for the Porsche, so again, I was more lucky than anything. Near the end of the race I was trying to push for fastest lap, but had two big moments, which allowed Geoffers to get very close. Had to just keep it steady on the final lap to take the win.
Watching Dimitar's video right now and I can see it was a similar story for everyone, with lots of spins and hitting those invisible tyres.
