I knew it was going to be very difficult here with the Porsche 911 car but i had two great races previously this year in the German leagues so i was hoping for some good result. The main problems were the curbs, as some of them were making my car slip all over the place, the last corner which was waiting for you to lose focus and make your car slide and the rear right tire who started to overheat at some points during my preparation for the event.

At the start i had some luck as Manfred span after some contact there i think with Daz and i overtake them for the second position. Geoffers took the lead and after that no one was able to be at least close to him. He drove great tonight. I was just slower than him but after some laps i spun the car at the last corner and my problems started. Before the end of the race i had few more big and small mistakes as Daz has hit me from behind so it is a little miracle that i was able to take the fifth position at the end. The big problem for me was that i was unable to be even close to that 1:38.5 that i was making at the practice with 55 liters of fuel. Not at the qualy nor the Race. Sad

Congrats to Geoffers, to the podium guys and everyone who managed to see the chequered flag.

I think I got a bit lucky this time but I amazed myself by completing the race without once going off track, had not completed more than 3-4 consecutive laps without an off prior to the race.

The lucky bits were Manfred & Daz having a moment at T1 allowing me through into the lead, Manfred having a freeze early on & Dimitar spinning out at the final turn around lap 6. After that I had around 10s gap to Erling & I was able to drive at a comfortable pace & not need to take any chances. I could see that Manfred was lapping faster but knew that unless I made a mistake he was not going to catch me, but it was a great drive from him from last to 2nd.

Congrats to Manfred & Erling.  clap clap

Given my struggles with car/track and a full complement of aliens present, getting on the podium definitely wasn't in the cards!

Got a good start from my mid field grid position, gaining 1-2 places into T1, but all came to naught when I had to back off as Daz & Manfred came together in front of me.  However, bar Geoffers, all the aliens seemed to fall off left & right the first two laps, putting me in an unlikely 3rd spot.

Geoffers & Dimitar were slipping away, while behind Micha slowly closed the gap.  He was overtaken by a recovering Daz, who caught up to me just as I happened upon a recovering Dimitar. Went past before he had regained his speed completely, and had him & Daz in hot pursuit over the following lap. Regrettably the two tangled, but probably my luck as both were faster. Was in a heady 2nd place by now, with Geoffers still moving away.  Back to being chased by Micha after this intermezzo, but just as he had closed the gap, he spun the car. Lonely race until caught & passed by Manfred in the 2nd half.

With a few laps to go, I had 20 secs to Micha, but then made the first big mistake. Too much curb, just like Micha, and the car spun.  Gap halved to just 10 secs, with 2 laps to go.  Cursing myself and absolutely no room for more errors if I was to stay on the podium.  Thankfully panned out, but a very hard race, demanding 110% concentration all the time.

Grats to Geoffers on the win & Manfred for the great recovery & 2nd.

I was very upset at my poor showing on Monday, more to do with the fact I kept either hitting people (Manfred and Dimitar to name a couple) and also throwing it off the track on a regular basis than a total lack of pace. Thought I was just rusty again after a few weeks off, but investigated properly and discovered my wheel was completely worn out and broken on the back of the rim holding it onto the shaft of the base unit. I could turn it through around a total of 50 degrees before it would register any movement in the driver screen. Took the lid off to look, and immediately put it back on as it was not going to be fixable......At least I know why....

My apologies to Manfred for the touch in turn 1, the car just drifted towards you and I couldn't seem to stop it, just glad you didn't spin. But bigger apologies to Dimitar, it was a looking a good race, and I have punted you off the road awfully hard at that final turn. I was totally caught out at where you have hit the brakes, and went straight in without being able to react. 100% my fault, I am so sorry for having such a negative impact on your race.

Grats to not-so-steady-Geoffers for the win, and Manfred on keeping his car that was lacking spoilers on the road for the run through the pack.
