hmm no gas stoves allowed on camp site, cold coffee, cold pot noodle, no toast, and it rain, good secure parking on the hard stuff. no more dragging the bike out the mud with a t-shirt through the front wheel

Its a lovely track shame the campsite rules have become stupid although the security at Assen takes it to the next level

Surely someone invented a battery powered one or something by now.

You could always learn the match method!

yeah Brands 99 was crazy Grin but they started to clamp down on fun in the campsite after that! Did some bloke not get a broken leg when they were rocking the huge skip too?
Do they do the supermarket thing at Donny? could be another factor

I have a GSF600 Bandit, nice easy bike with no bad manners. Only bad thing I found so far is the carb icing, engine cuts at 1st junction I come to,restarts then fine. Pain in the ass but thats a price I pay for all year round riding. Wife has promised me a VFR800 out of her redundancy this year but I have my eye on a new PC too, may have to do a bit of negotiating...hehe. We rode also for the Assen trips, 1st time from Calais up through France, Belgium, Holland. Got lost in Antwerp! was great fun, last year we elected to take the ferry to Hook of Holland and reduce the journey time significantly, was still great fun though, 6 bikes of various makes, good roads and the dutch police...lol

good solid bike bandits lots of turning stuff available for them, my bike has same problem doesn't like cold, vfr a good bike, damn good. not ride the new one but Honda don't make backward step. Antwerp had road works for years now!!! filtering and sign reading don't go in hand in hand. i never seen a police car on the E roads ,saying that i never found a corner to go round either. there car drivers are so much better as well, they more over for you before you have to shut the throttle, done 5000 ish miles over there and only 1 emergency stop. it really shows how poor the driving is in this country

I'm sure Jeremy did it in an ancient Top Gear.

Yeah Whitham, gotta agree with the standards of driving over there, even though we were on the wrong side of the road...lol. Trust me on the cops, couple of days leading upto the race they are all over the place, and those specials, the ones u dont argue with cuz hes got a gun! Had a couple of funny near misses with them. 1st was in Antwerp on the outer ring route, heavy traffic cuz of those bloody road works...car pulls alongside us with a couple of girls in, we was only crawling along and we do a bit of oggling ( we are all 35+), the passenger smiles then pulls out a camera and gestures she wants a piccy, well we just carried on crawlin along and she leans outtat he window to snap my m8 on his duke, then theres a blue light and siren, I'm thinkin.."what did we do!!"  looking round theres a copper on a bike about 30yrds back, we all start to pull over which wasnt easy as road was pretty busy, thinkin he was gonna bust us for disturbin the girls, and he just breezes by and pulls the girls over...lmao. Paul on the duke pulled over while we all went on to the next service. When paul catches up he tells us that the cop gave the girl taking the picture a right rollickin although Paul said he didnt ticket them so not to bad, Paul also got both girls numbers which made us all laugh as anything over the channel has to be a little far for a date.
