Championship standings HERE

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (40 laps)

Track: Oschersleben GP Download this

Cars allowed: BMW Group-5 E21 320i Download this

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org WEDNESDAY
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: The start lights are a long way ahead of the start line. Drivers may wish to activate their in-game countdown.

Bugger, thought Geoffers was joking about doing this track again, apparently not!

I guess I need to choose a car?

I won't be able to make this one and Wednesday is unlikely too but by next Monday I hope to have things sorted. Oh, can I cede all my championship points to Erling, please?

I'm going to be scared shitless about firing up GTL again after that loud and spectacular total collapse though  scared

I'm of course so, so sad to miss another round on Oscherschei... erm, I mean: leben ?, yes leben   Wink

Edit; ah, this is about the Weds race, should've been in the Mon race one.

I am beginning to think that my PC has a personality all of it's own??  I also think that it has an aversion to those Porkers, because as of mid day today my connection to the Lobby is working  Undecided Huh
There was no way that my rig was going to allow me to join that race last night........................................figure that???

Didn't enjoy that. 4.7 secs off the pace  Shocked Got tapped into a spin in T1 passed Dan when he went off
but slowed to let him pass as he was quite a bit faster, spun myself next lap.
Don't really like the cars, and Oschers again, I'll pass.

I seem to have found a bit of pace now after my long lay off, but I'm yet to be able to keep the cars on the track for the duration of the races. Had the chance to build up a nice lead from the start, but blew it in turn 2 on lap 7 or 8, then put the car into the wall losing the front splitter about 10 laps later, then tried too hard to kill the understeer induced by the lack of splitter with right foot and hitting yet another piece of wall at around half distance....which killed the car.

Grats to Manfred and Geoff, both showing the patience and required levels of concentration that I'm sadly lacking at the moment.

Very pleased with my pace here although it wasn't quite quick enough to match Daz & Manfred.

Ran 2nd initially after fast starter Dan messed up T3 but had Manfred right behind waiting for a mistake. Led for a while when Daz spun but eventually Manfred got a good run on me & passed me on the S/F straight & I immediately lost 2nd too as I ran wide through T2 allowing Daz past. Hoped to stay with them but at the end of the lap I got a wheel on the grass approaching the final turn & finished up in the gravel, fortunately without hitting anything, this lost me around 10-12s. Inherited 2nd when Daz spun again & when he dropped out I just concentrated on not pushing too hard & not making any mistakes to come home a safe 2nd.

Congrats to Manfred on the win & Dan in a fine 3rd.  clap clap
