Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Not able to download the track for this Tony, it opens the Google Drive page for the download but I just continually get the coloured circle timer rotating in the middle of the page.

I managed a download Geoffers, but I had to convince my PC that it was not a virus or threat.

But anyhoo, we have run this track in UKGTL quite recently ( unless my ageing brain is foreseeing the future!!!) so you should already have it??

Only been run once before in 2013 according to track history Clive, & I did not race that time. Anyway will try download again.

PS: Download worked OK this time, but like you said Clive AV did not like it initially.

Try downloading from here Geoffers: https://ibb.co/7CC9hK4

It should be fine after 5-10 seconds of loading.

Grats to podium and all finishers. Sadly, I was in neither group  Undecided Grats to my mate Andy for almost getting to the podium  thumbup1

It transpired that the Aston was the wrong car, on the wrong track, with the wrong tyres. Maybe some more diligent preparation off line would have highlighted the potential mistake, but that is not my way  Wink. I simply selected the car that had most drives left  Sad

By the time I had the setup and handling organised during the server practice, I discovered that I could only use 4 out of the 5 gears ??!! There was a small niggle at the back of my mind over the tyre wear when I ran about ten laps towards the end of practice to confirm the fuel needed.

Well the race started well enough and after following Dan and Erling's battle for several laps watching the action, they kindly vacated the track and allowed me a view of an inviting open road. Tony was quite pushy behind in his nimble Healey and I was relieved to slowly ease away to a 5 second lead.
But, as we approached half distance it was clear that my tyres were suffering and reaching 44 laps was going to be a challenge. I was hoping that others might be having similar issues. It became clear at 75% distance that "others" were not having the problems that I was. This was the first time that I can recall such a dramatic drop in grip from tyre wear in GTL. Within 1 lap, as the tyre wear moved into the red zone, the grip seemed to fall off a cliff  scared scared. My lap times dropped by 1-2 secs and were getting slower and I was defenceless as the other cars swept past.
5 laps later I was trying to hold on to Fulvio's Ace, but failing miserably, as the car slowly became unpredictable and undriveable eventually snapping back from a slide to fire me into the scenery. The car was damaged, but there was no point in limping to the pits for new tyres as the stop would only guarantee last place. with no time to improve, so I retired with my bent car and injured pride.  Roll Eyes
Previous races had shown me that the Ace and the Healey are gentle on their tyres, so maybe I should have used my last drive in one of those around here. Ahhh! the wisdom of hindsight  Roll Eyes

The Aston is, to me, undrivable once the tyres go off. ALways been like that, I am really careful about where to run it
and a tight little track like this would not be my 1st choice  Shocked

I tried the Healey as the obvious choice, but did a few laps with the Ace, which was a similar pace, but the Healey
was slightly faster, and more stable, so I had more chance of finishing. Got a bit lonely after a while. Geoff was pulling away
a sec a lap, I was pulling away from those behind, went off twice foolishly trying some different lines and hotlapping
but the Healey's tyres ( I was using the historic ones, not the Dunlops) had only slight wear.

Erling's choice of the Merc might have been inspired, but for me it was a bit ungainly round the tight corners.

Complete farce last night..  Track itself is nice enough, but for all the available cars I was willing to use, it was absolutely dreadful, with the Merc seemingly the lesser of the evils.

Got a good start, but already at T1, the deroute started when I slid wide on cold tyres, losing two places. That also brought Clive up behind me, in his unbelievably noisy Aston. I could absolutely not hear my own engine at all, and as a result missed several upshifts, losing time. Had to rely 100% on the rev counter.  Gradually opened a little gap, getting an aural respite, but came up behind Dan. The Merc was definitely faster in places, once it got into its stride, but I couldn't find a way past.  That helped Clive close up again, and the infernal racket started all over!

Eventually caught out by Dan's braking, hitting him, thankfully without ill effect on him, but I went partially off, letting Clive past. Dan had a moment right after, letting me past - thus still in 4th, only with the cars in front & behind swapped.  Next came the first of numerous spins - I think I spun more in this single race, than I normally do in an entire season!  Roll Eyes  Dropped me to 7th.  Later regained two places from Dan & Clive, and briefly got past Andy too, only to spin again.  As the tyres wore, the car became even more undriveable, and in the later stages, I was unable to close the gap to Andy & Tony.

Grats to Geoffers, Matt & Tony!

Went with the Healey as it seemed the best suited to the track, but maybe I should have used something less suitable. Sad

Only real entertainment came when I caught the battle between Andy, Erling & Tony, I had quite a comfortable lead so decided to sit back a bit & watch the proceedings rather than disrupt the dice. Unfortunately it did not last too long as Erling spun which somewhat broke up the group.

Congrats to Matt & Tony  clap clap & thanks to all who made way when I caught them.  thumbup1
