I managed a 3:49 in the Saleen. Not even pushing Smiley

What wing are you running?

What wing are you running?

I think it was about 7 when I set my record. Last time I raced there I used wing setting 4.

You only got to watch out in the slower corners as the Saleen likes to snap out suddenly. Especially because some parts are very bumpy at Le Mans. That is why I don't like to use the Saleen there. It goes like steady, steady, bump, bump, steady, snap. Too unpredictable for me for endurance Smiley

I've been running 1 and 1 wing because of the long straights I figured top speed was more important, but there are more corners than I remember. Might have only done the old version though.

The problem with a low rear wing setting is that the car tends to get very light on the back, making it unbalanced. To overcome that you could adjust the front splitter, but then you get understeer in all the corners.

As with all tracks you need to find a good compromise between top speed and cornering speed, although the long straights make it a bit difficult here. As long as your car can get up to 325 at the end of the straight before the Playstation chicane you shoudl be alright.

Nice race Roll Eyes Managed to do 1 lap without getting into trouble. For once I didn't spin until the 2nd lap.

Sorry to the driver who crashed into me. At the point where I was standing (Tertre Rouge, before the Mulsanne straight) there was no was of seeing you coming.

Not really. 1 flying lap gone, came across Maurice's spun car. At LeMans there is virtually no chance of slowing down. I thought i was going to avoid by staying left but his car sedately drifted backwards down the tarmac into my path, engine dead, race over. Nevermind.

Pit limiter thing on the formation lap worked nicely I thought. You could safely get to the car in front and only go when he did. Think the limiter could have gone on a little earlier as the line is only just after the second slow chicane at LeMans and all the NGTs didn't really have time to catch up. Worth doing.

Well, have to apologise to Gerald first and formost.....braked a little too late and lost it thinking I could control it......didn't. Roll Eyes
Shouldn't really have taken my rear wing down to 1 between qualy and race but I will learn someday!

Apart from that, very enjoyable - love that track!

Man! Made a pb in quali, 4.5.xxx, felt really quick. Mo was 2 sec behind in time and I was confident I could go a bit faster still.
Then a 1 fps bug hit me at the begining of a pace lap - don't know how much trouble that caused behind, I apologize to all who had problems 'cause of me.  Embarrassed
Ended with some damage but continued, didn't wanna go through the grid to my former position, so I started last. Seems like I got some engine damage as the top speed was way lower than in quali or practice. Was doing best lap just above 4.10.xxx while in practice sessions I could do 4.7.xxx with the race setup.
Was trying to push as hard as I could but Loius was too fast. As he was gaining 1-2 seconds per lap I think we would be fairly the same if I had my car intact. Too bad Louis, would love to chase you around a bit.  Grin
Came 4th, second NGT I think.
Grats to Leuven and Louis for the win!  thumbup2
As for other guys, there was evident they didn't have enough practice laps, otherwise their driving was great, as usual.

I'm on vacation from 20th to 27th June, so I'm gonna miss some races. Have fun!  Smiley

Loved that track...very nostalgic to be taking a GT car around it  Cool  We have to have a repeat race here as maybe a championship race with a full grid, it would be superb.

Was gutted to not get a chance to practise/learn the track before jumping in during the qually sesh..really not a good way to learn, but i stayed well out of the way of everyone during the sesh.
Race start was odd, several people seemed to spin out or pull out through a variety of reasons Huh
Found myself quite high up after only a lap or two but then (as usual) when the recovering TT caught me, i managed to slide straight on at one of the tight right handers and he sailed off into the distance. Sad
I was still learning the track lap by lap and gradually took 13-14 seconds off my qually time Shocked  Hadnt even had time to get a setup tweaked, i just used my Monza one but was only peaking at 176mph on the straights (not sure what other NGT's were achieving?)
Was still enjoying the track for most of race without seeing any other cars at all, but had two offs and both took my front splitter clean off...both times on lap before my pitstops were due (did anyone find their tyres just seem to magically fall apart on that lap?)
Really sorry to Rich A who caught me while i was semi-limping around to pits with no front wing or bonnet, i watched you coming from miles back in my mirrors but as i started to ease off and brake the car just drifted across the track of its own accord and we crashed.  Embarrassed Sorry mate, felt awful as i think you was 2nd? at the time.

Would love a repeat race with a chance to get my setup and pace upto scratch.

The only problems i had were two or three spells of 1fps Sad luckily two were on a straight but a third was in the turns and caused real probs. It would only last about 5 seconds then go, so maybe those that ducked out with it (Don? etc) should have hung in there until it disapeared?

Think i finished 6th in the end overall  Cool...possibly 3rd NGT  Huh

Had a good battle with Rich for a good few laps early on, until I drove past the pits and looked at the fuel gauge, and it said 11L.  Roll Eyes

I was thinking about wether to escape or just carry on.
Before I could decide I had hit the wall on the outside of Terte Rouge.  :'(

After the spin I carried on at full wack, untill I got to somewhere between Arnage and Maison Blanche with 3 litres left i decided to "save fuel" and cruise.
As I spluttered into the pit in 6th gear with 0.1 L left in the tank  Shocked i just about made it.

Exited the pits and got a stop/wait for a bit/go penalty.

After coming out I dont know what position but ended up passing Rich (damaged) and gradually got 1st back

I noticed the top speed was significantly lower near the end, must have worn the engine a bit.

Was overall a good race track to drive on,
