For those with their own team websites, I've developed a simple RSS feed for each team which gives a brief summary of the team's recents results which you can include automagically on your own site. To get the URL for the feed, click on your team name on the Teams page and then on the RSS button next to the Statistics title. I'll be adding more data, like championship positions, to the feed as I work out what and how.

Added it to the Team Shark website.
Formatting is a bit odd, not very readable. Is there someway to improve that?

It's not really possible to do anything more than very basic formatting because most readers limit the amount of text in the description tag quite severely. Looking at the Team Shark site it's not doing a particularly good job of formatting the feed; check out the difference in formatting from the UKrF test page. It would appear that Mambo doesn't really cope very well with the title element which was new in RSS 2.0. Is there a need for RSS 0.92 support I wonder?

RIght, as a bit of an experiment (like everything on SRou ) I've added an RSS 0.92 mode. Add " &rss=0.92" to the end of the URL, so for Team Shark use https://www.simracing.org.uk/lm2/rss.php?team=1&rss=0.92. That chops out the title link and title of each item. The MkPortal RSS reader has its own problem in that the title doesn't work unless the link element is also present.

Cant get the damn thing to work. Correct me if i'm wrong. Tried a new php block, no good. Tried a new html block, no good. Both of these just display all the xml version text ect.
Created a new .rss in the cache folder and pointed the original .rss block to it. Great worked for about 30 secs then defaulted to reuters news feed.
What am I doing wrong Dave ?

Ok might have realised where i'm going wrong. In the portal cp there are some options for rss, this was pointing to reuters for the feed. I have changed it too : https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?ind=lm2&team=12However all it gives me is a pop up to the team page, where should it point for the feed ?

I've since found another couple of bugs in the MkPortal RSS reader. I regret ever deciding to use a "proper" portal instead of making my own template system. :'(

Yeah i've found it a bit buggy, sometimes it works as advertised sometimes not, generally I put it down to my incompetence, lol.

Okay, new version up now which includes the last few championship positions and points and the team immediately above and below the one in question.
