Moderator's Report

Great win for Tristan taking the lead from start to finish.

Brave and great race for Clive with his little Brabham BRM, the only 2 liters to take part at this race.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of incidents during the first 1m30sec of the race !

Server replay time: 0h01m31s

First, Bastian hit Ziu's car, then there was a side by side contact between Francesco and Ziu's cars.

Due to the confusion, Phil slightly rearended Axel's Ferrari and Rainier blatantly rearended Axel's car.

None of these incidents have been reported except the last one by me.

Server replay time: 0h46m10s

Bastian reported this incident :
at the start of lap 17, Andreas blew his engine but he didn't stop his car which goes on grass and then rejoin the track to hit Bastian's car.

Season 35 – 1966 Grand Prix – Round 10 – Sebring

Round 10 of the Historics Trophy  finds us at Sebring, we will be racing on the International Raceway as used in 1967.
The first 12 Hours of Sebring was held on March 15, 1952, and the event would grow to become a major international race. In 1959, the racetrack hosted the first Formula One Grand Prix in the United States. Due to the poor attendance and high costs, the next United States Grand Prix was held at Riverside.
For much of Sebring's history, the track followed a 5.2 miles (8.4 km) layout. In 1967, the Webster Turn between the hairpin and the top of the track was removed and replaced with the faster Green Park Chicane, which was closer to the hairpin and allowed a flat-out run through a very fast corner to the top of the track and the runway; this made the circuit 50 yards longer. The circuit was also widened. Many of these changes were prompted by the 1966 12 Hours where 5 people were killed during the race. Another dangerous section was the Warehouse straight; after a crash where a Porsche went into one of the warehouses and into a crowd, the organizers installed a chicane to move the Warehouse straight further away from the warehouses and buildings. We will use the 1967 layout.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.
Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Please read the championship specific rules on the championship standings page.
Password: see above
(2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page - 1966

There is no Red Zone. Moderating will be on reported incidents only. Remember that lap 1 incidents carry an additional penalty place.

The chassis token system is explained on the Historics Trophy standings page.

Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

A driver must have sufficient tokens for the chassis he drives in the race.  Any driver who does not have sufficient tokens will be disqualified from the result and his tokens will be set to zero.

The chassis a driver uses in qualifying are disregarded when determining his token spend.
Note:  This is to cater for the instances when a driver either does not start or inadvertently joins with the wrong chassis and subsequently rejoins the server in another.

Any tokens not spent at the end of the season are ignored and are not used to determine championship positions in the event of a tie.

PRO rules means Shift-Rs are not allowed at any time and the damage model is realistic.

Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score.

Good race for me. Not an easy place to pass but lost a couple of places due to unforced errors. Not sure if I could have held off Andreas for the whole race, one of my mistakes let him by. Definately beaten fair and square by Bastian under braking for the hairpin. I thought he was going wide.

So that is it for Season 35. We will post the registration threads for Season 36 in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Season 36 is scheduled to start on 19th January.

Hi Smiley ...Good race for me ,unfortunatly  a little bit lonely race ( something happend in the first lap behind me ! ) ...the Ferrari  was perfect here and I'm happy to beat the hold track record from Rob ....
Unfortunatly I had 60Fps problems at the start of the season and can't join races :/ ... now since 2 races it's ok and I'm happy to race this 66mod who is very good one....I will enjoy the next season 66

Congratulations to David on a commanding win of the championship, he always drove a careful and controlled race just like a true champion and kept scoring good points  Wink  I Am Not Worthy I Am Not Worthy

It was not particularly brave for me to take a 2 litre car as I was not feeling 100%. I simply intended to finish the race if I could and maybe score a few points with a car that did not make any demands upon my fitness or skill.

Thanks to all who took part in the races this season and commiserations to those who suffered misfortune and incidents.

Looking forward to next season and maybe some more 66 action??
