I installed the Cobra onto a fairly standard GTL, and it works fine. Maybe on one of my more modded ones it may not

How did you get the download here (the one with the fix) to work?
It's only showing the old Amazon link which is now defunct.
I'll ask Dave to put on the Google download.
EDIT: I've just found a BIK set which I need to test before I re-issue the download.
Also found info about your error. It's caused by some bad script (relating to GTR2 only) in the two .cas files.
If you remove
<NOTSPIN><DASHHIGH> Instance=RAINSCREEN <NOTSPIN><DASHHIGH> { <NOTSPIN><DASHHIGH> Moveable=True <NOTSPIN><DASHHIGH> MeshFile=AC_COBRA_rainscreen.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(1.5) <NOTSPIN><DASHHIGH> }
That should fix your original problem.
If you can tell me if your working cobra still has these line in it's .cas files that would help a lot.
First I already had the v0.9.1.0 download on my external HD from when we had used it some years ago, so no I did not actually download it from the download section today. I have checked the CAS files, AC_COBRA.CAS has those lines, AC_COBRA_2DW.CAS does not. The 2DW one appears to be the updated one as it has a 2011 date, the other is dated 2009.

Well your trace file says it's the AC_COBRA.CAS that is the problem
vehgfx.cpp 2520: Entered VehGraphics::Init(GAMEDATA\TEAMS\GTC-65\AC SHELBY COBRA 289\#11 HOLMAN & MOODY 1963\..\AC_COBRA.CAS)
So I will remove the bad lines from both.

Car seems to work OK now Tony. However I have had some more problems which I think I have sorted that I suspect is related to the latest Windows 7 update earlier last week.
Firstly it was taking an age for the PC to recognise that my wheel was connected, Logitech Gaming software would tell me that it could not detect any controllers, then after about 5 minutes the wheel would suddenly spring into life & work OK. As it was OK before the Win7 update I was suspicious that may be the cause, so I restored Windows to a point before the update & hey presto the wheel connects straight away again.
Then today I fire up my SROUK GTL install to try your new Cobra download & all the add-on tracks do not show up in the track list, just blank spaces where they should be, hover the curser over the blank spaces & the track names show as gobbledigook. Not only that but default tracks do not load correctly even with default cars usually causing a CTD. New Cobra download works OK in other GTL installs which it crashed before so not that causing the problem. Eventually after deleting all the tracks & copying them across from a working GTL install all seems fine again. Weird!
I often wonder if updates to Windows deliberately introduce problems & slow your PC down to persuade you to upgrade to the latest version. Anyway my current PC is 7 years old now, so perhaps it is time to replace it.

I couldn't drive these Trumptrucks (*) if my life literally depended on it. The Corvette is simply a nightmare with such gargantuan understeer no matter what I try or do the MSC Gülsün (**) would laugh at this car. Obviously it can be driven with speed but how has eluded me from the day I first installed GTL. On top of that something weird happened where I hit Tony according to the replay but I don't think Tony's car was actually anywhere near me. Apologies if I'm misinterpreting the replay, Tony. Car was buggered and I prefer to drive without damage even if it means a 3 minute repair. Okay, I'm exaggerating about US cars in general because I have had fun races with Cobra's in the past. It didn't look like that was going to be the case as at first its handling was even worse than the Vette. In an attempt to improve the atrocious braking I pulled the front bias all the way to 65 just hoping to start from there. Imagine my surprise when not only the braking was sorted but the general behaviour of the car! See, this is why setup drives me insane. What has brake bias to do with the behaviour of a car in corners where you don't even brake? Aaaaaarrgggh. Anyway, after a completely uncalled for visit in the grass I was left chasing Eifel. But some time later he disappeared of the grid alas. Next up was Tony and while I had no ambition of catching up, at least putting some pressure seemed feasible. Leave it to me, just as I was getting within 5 seconds of him to check for lappers while still accelerating in a corner ending in a double pirouette and the abandonment of all hope in ending my Last-of-the-Bunch streak. Congrats to the podia and to everyone who drives US cars better than me. Which is...Everybody. (*) actually not meant to be political but how could I resist the Dump/Trump pun? 2 good races getting in Erling's way due to others having issues Race 1 I was just driving my lines as best I could with the wayward Vette, and waiting to be passed, and eventually he got one in with no contact and made it stick. Race 2 I managed to stay in front as the Cobra is easier to be consistant with, for me anyway.

@ Dom - The worlds largest container ship is the OOCL Hong Kong https://www.championfreight.co.nz/news/largest-container-shipI struggle to drive any American V8 with any sense of confidence. Maybe an alien will take pity and offer us a setup.

Ok, I get the message, I will upload mine later, but only to be viewed by those that are struggling, not those who couldn't negotiate the first corner. Couple of successful but lonelyish races, although it may have been a little different had Erling not failed to get around T1 (twice) & Clive not spun after taking the lead in the first race. Congrats to Matt & Erling on their two podiums. Good recovery drives from Erling in both races.
