Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 596s

Flybri enters T5 with Bernie Lomax right behind. Bernie closes on Bri as he has a better line and grip through the corner and taps Flybris' rear causing him to spin off. Bernie states that Bri had locked up his front giving him a poor entry speed and sending his car higher up the banked turn off the racing line. Bernie syas he gets good entry speed and is on a good line when Bri tried to bring his car back on the racing line. Bernie is in no position to make a safe pass and should have been more cautious, I dont hear any attempt from Bernie to back off in the replay, in fact I'm certain theres a dab of accelerator just before contact. The replay clearly shows Bernie moving up the bend as he hits Flybri. This incident could have been avoided.

  • Bernie Lomaxpenalty — Rear end tap resulting in victim spinning. — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 759s

FlyBri is behind Baz West going down te S/F straight, Bri brakes very late and rear ends BAz causing Baz to spin and lose several places.

  • FlyBri (Flybri)penalty — Late braking resulting in side collision — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 1288s

BillThomas has OSiriS behind him on the long staraight after T1. Bill is so concerned about getting in other drivers ways that he moves right over to the left of the track, he misses his braking point completely wiping out the marker board swerves back onto the track and grazes OSiriS car. Bill is very apologetic to any driver he may have inconvenienced, he is new to this game and realises he is slow, but he is learning and improving.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1649s

Bernie Lomax and Mark Jonzo are battling hard foe 9th place. Coming down the back straight, Mark brakes a little late and taps Bernies rear sending them both off. Mark makes the faster recovery and gains a place, and makes no effort to allow Bernie back through to his original position.

UKGTL Ladder - "Back to the 70s" at Anderstorp (GP)

This is the second race of the new rolling ranking a.k.a. 'the Ladder'. All members welcome.

Date: Thursday 29th June

Practice: 20:30 (15 mins)
Qualifying: 20:45 (20 mins)
Race: 21:05 (20 laps = ~40 mins)

Cars allowed: Any GTC-TC-76; special guest car: the GT-40
Time of day: 12:00 (midday)

Server: UKGTL Ladder
Password: See this post

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. Note in particular that we will be using the new pit lane speed limiter starting procedure.
(3) General information on the ladder can be found on the series home page.

ps. We're allowing a full selection cars from the '76 class because we want to see whether the ladder will influence the faster people to take lower rated cars.

Interesting - the Escort has the best rating
Gotta try it out - perhaps, just perhaps there is a big fault there mates (along with the Corvette being far worse off than the 911's).
The Schnitzer CSL also looks tempting

Yeah, now you say it like that, it is strange. The Escort is very underrated which makes it very tempting. Dunno why the '69 Vette is seen as better than the 911 beats me Huh. Only at Monza is the Vette easier faster. On the other tracks it's a struggle to beat the 911's.

The Escort, like the bigger Corvette, is very hard to drive fast for a race distance. That's why it gets a "good value" rating.

We will be tweaking the ratings as we get more experience with the ladder of course. Smiley

d'OH oops I was looking in the title like it did with the Zolder race. And seeing that the rest is the same (20 laps) I thought copy-paste was your friend again...my bad ban

Edit: Aaaah, now I see, the original post and thread is edited. Now I look even more stupid Grin

I'll probably go with the Pantera, because in this class it's by far my fost favourite car. And seeing that I utterly hate this track and suck at it, I atleast want to have a fun car.

I know it would be more fair for faster drivers to take slower cars, but I'd rather win at the track, than in paper with the pointsystem. Just my look at it, that's all. Kiss
